Students: Register for Achieve courses via your school's LMS

This article is for students who need to connect their Achieve account with an LMS such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L/Brightspace, or Moodle. Following the instructions below to connect these accounts allows you to access Achieve from an LMS with single-sign-on. This is required for your Achieve grades to appear in your LMS. If you try to enroll on achieve.macmillanlearning.com and see the following message, it means you need to go to your school's learning management system (Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, Moodle, or Schoology) and follow the instructions below.
The recommended web browser for this process is Google Chrome .

Connect your Blackboard Learn account with Achieve

Log in to your school's Blackboard site
Click on the course that uses Achieve content
Open the content area in your Blackboard course that contains the Achieve assignments
Note: In the image below, the content area is called Achieve , but in your course it may be called something else, e.g. Course Materials, Assignments, Homework.
Click any Achieve assignment
If you encounter an error message or a blank screen:
You'll need to adjust your browser settings and/or disable pop-up blockers to access Achieve content. Please see the instructions here: Deep integration troubleshooting for students .
Review User Privacy Information
If you choose not to share your user information or if the integration is set up to automatically keep your information private, you will enter your name and e-mail address on a subsequent screen. If you have an existing Achieve account that you would like to link to your Blackboard account, enter the e-mail address of that Achieve account here. Otherwise we recommend that you enter the e-mail address that is associated with your Blackboard account.

Access Achieve content
If your course does not require payment, if your course requires payment.
- Purchase access - Purchase online using a credit card or PayPal. For further instructions, see the help article Checkout through the Student Store .
- Start a grace period - Enroll in the course for free for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, you will need to convert free trial access to full access .
- Enter an access code - Type in your access code, then click the Enter button.
If your course requires payment, but you have already paid for multi-term access in a previous term

Connect your blackboard ultra account with achieve.
Access the course containing Achieve content
Alternatively, click on Courses in the left menu, then click on the name of the course you want to register for.
Click on an Achieve assignment or link
If you do not see individual Achieve assignments listed in your Blackboard Ultra course, but are instead taken directly to Achieve when you click on the link, follow the instructions in the help article Student Single-Sign-On .
- Enter an access code - Type in your pre-paid access code, then click the Enter button.
Connect your Canvas account with Achieve
Log in to your institution's Canvas site
Find the course using Achieve content
Go to the modules area (or Assignments area) and click a link to an Achieve assignment
If you do not see individual Achieve assignments listed in your Canvas course, but are instead taken directly to Achieve when you click on the link provided, follow the instructions in the help article Student Single-Sign-On .
If you aren’t sure which assignments are Achieve assignments, you may instead click Macmillan Learning in the left navigation panel of your Canvas course and click the Achieve link.

If you are prompted to enter your name and e-mail
If the integration is set up to automatically keep your information private, you will be prompted to enter your name and e-mail address. If you have an existing Achieve account that you would like to link to your Canvas account, enter the e-mail address of that Achieve account here. Otherwise we recommend that you enter the e-mail address that is associated with your Canvas account.
Connect your D2L/Brightspace account with Achieve
Log in to your institution's D2L/Brightspace site
Find the D2L course using the Achieve content
Find Achieve assignments within the content area of your course
If you aren’t sure which assignments are Achieve assignments, access Macmillan Course Tools on the D2L course homepage or D2L content area and click on the Achieve link.
If the integration is set up to automatically keep your information private, you will be prompted to enter your name and e-mail address. If you have an existing Achieve account that you would like to link to your D2L account, enter the e-mail address of that Achieve account here. Otherwise we recommend that you enter the e-mail address that is associated with your D2L/Brightspace account.
Connect your Moodle account with Achieve
Log in to your institution's Moodle site
Click on any Achieve assignment to initiate registration
If the integration is set up to automatically keep your information private, you will be prompted to enter your name and e-mail address. If you have an existing Achieve account that you would like to link to your Moodle account, enter the e-mail address of that Achieve account here. Otherwise we recommend that you enter the e-mail address that is associated with your Moodle account.
Connect your Schoology account with Achieve
Log in to your institution's schoology site.
Locate the course using Achieve content
Clicking on Achieve links in Schoology
If the integration is set up to automatically keep your information private, you will be prompted to enter your name and e-mail address. If you have an existing Achieve account that you would like to link to your Schoology account, enter the e-mail address of that Achieve account here. Otherwise we recommend that you enter the e-mail address that is associated with your Schoology account.
Your enrollment in your Achieve course is now complete. Each time you click on an Achieve link in Schoology, you will be sent directly to that resource in Achieve without having to repeat this process. Any grades for Achieve assignments you complete will now appear in your Schoology gradebook. If you have any issues with grade sync, visit this troubleshooting guide .
Inclusive Access
If you don't see an Achieve course or payment screen when clicking on one of your assignment links, your course might be using an inclusive access integration.
From here, your instructions will vary depending on your school’s inclusive access service provider. You may have received separate instructions with the name of the service provider, or you may see the name of the service provider on the page. Click on a service provider below to view instructions for that service provider. (If you aren't sure which one to click, you can check each of them to see which one looks like the screen you see.)

Click the green View Course Materials button.
From here you can choose to enroll in your course materials or opt out. If you choose to opt out you will be forced to purchase through an alternative outlet and you will not get a discounted price through inclusive access. To learn more about how to opt out, view this RedShelf help article .
If you opt out , you will still get access to Achieve for a grace period of 21-25 days. After this grace period has passed, you will be prompted to pay or enter an access code when you attempt to access Achieve.
If you do not opt out , the cost of your course materials will be added to your bill for your school’s tuition and fees. This cost is always less expensive than what you would pay for the materials elsewhere.
If you see an “Acquire Code” button
You may see a screen with a green Acquire Code button. To continue to access your course materials without opting out, click the green Acquire Code button, then follow the instructions shown below the button to redeem the code and access your course materials.
You are now enrolled in Achieve
Once you have completed this process, you will be enrolled in your Achieve course. Each time you click on an Achieve link in your LMS you will be taken directly to that resource without having to sign in again.
From the screen shown below, you can choose to enroll in your course materials or opt out.
If you choose to opt out you will be forced to purchase through an alternative outlet and you will not get a discounted price through inclusive access. To learn more about how to opt out, view the video in this VitalSource help article .
Once you have decided whether to opt out or not, click on the Launch Courseware button.

To access Macmillan Practice Online for the first time you need to register an account. To register your account, go to: www.macmillanpracticeonline.com and click STUDENT REGISTRATION on the homepage. Click on Register a new account or Register using Google. Complete your details to register an account, and then go to the MPO platform.

If you are a new user, click Register and complete the registration form. Once you have registered, click Log in and enter your username and password. Click Activate code to activate your course. Click on the course title to access your course content.
