Our Digital Marketing MSc programme is theory and research driven. It seeks to develop the critical and analytical capabilities of the participants through rigorous academic study. The programme, recognising the importance of digital marketing in the business world, aims to provide you with knowledge of both strategic and tactical use of digital marketing. It will enable you to explore different aspects of digital marketing including digital consumer behaviour, digital marketing communications, analytics, branding, social media marketing, and neuromarketing among others. You will be able to appreciate different theoretical bases for marketing decisions and how current research is applicable to such decisions in a digital business environment while being mindful of social responsibility and sustainability.

Digital marketing is no longer an add-on. It’s an integral part of every organisation’s marketing strategy. This Digital Marketing MSc course will enable you to develop your ability to think strategically about critical marketing issues and challenges while also enhancing the professional marketing knowledge required to work effectively in an increasingly complex and overwhelmingly digital global environment. Our School’s aim is to help King’s change the world. Graduates from our Digital Marketing MSc will be equipped to help organisations flourish in the future.

Please note that, due to the content of this Master's programme, it is not normally suitable for applicants with an undergraduate degree in Marketing or who have undertaken multiple Marketing modules as part of their undergraduate degree. Some familiarity with data analysis/statistical software, such as Microsoft Excel or SPSS or similar software, is strongly recommended. In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum high 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme.

The King's College marketing curriculum prepares students for careers in advertising, brand management, media, market research, retail management, social media, digital marketing, sports marketing, professional sales, and other entry-level marketing positions. Our marketing degree is built upon the liberal learning competencies of effective communication, ethics, and social responsibility, which provides essential tools for professional success, including a detailed understanding of the different aspects of the marketing field and its role in the business environment. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in our available internship opportunities that provide experiential learning and marketing training. In addition, students are welcome to use their elective credits to add a second major or minor from other McGowan School of Business programs or arts and sciences majors. In conjunction with the Mass Communications Department, marketing majors can achieve a concentration or a minor in mass communications to supplement their degree in marketing. The minor and concentration in mass communications offers students the opportunity to gain a further understanding of the role of media in society along with specialized knowledge in advertising, brand communications, social media, and visual communications. Majors in the William G. McGowan School of Business are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by less than six percent of the world's business programs.
