How to give a speech for teachers' day- a guide for students and teachers

A teachers’ day speech is a special occasion speech. It is a speech where you acknowledge your teachers, gurus or mentors for being an absolute human guide and encouraging you to dream. On this special day, you express your gratitude towards them, it can be in the form of a speech or stage performances.

‘When one teaches, two learn.’  Robert Heinlein

Teachers’ Day is that one event which not only excites the students, but the teachers as well. It is an important day for the students, as it gives them a chance to recognize the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get proper education and ethics in life. Likewise, the teachers also await the Teachers’ Day celebration, as their efforts get acknowledged and honoured by their students.

But why is it important to celebrate Teachers’ Day?

Teaching is considered to be the most sacred and noble professions of all, as teachers are the ones to craft the other professions.

Teachers have the ability to change the students’ life for the better. Teaching is a tough job; however, it is that one job where you can make the optimum impact on another person’s life.

However, we often tend to forget the importance teachers have in our lives. So, on this day you make them realize how important they are in your life along with this you appreciate their existence, their efforts and their guidance.

How to appreciate your teachers or students in your teachers' day speech

Not only students, but teachers also express their views to the students because their profession is nothing without their students.

If you are looking for tips on how you can draft a heart touching speech for teachers’ day, don’t worry we’ve got some suggestions for you (teacher or student).

But remember, the only key to give a heartwarming speech is Authenticity.

importance of being authentic or genuine in your teachers' day speech

Tips to Remember Before you Draft your Teachers’ Day Speech:

1)  appreciate, do not exaggerate.

When you give a speech on occasions like teachers’ day, it demands you to be authentic while sharing your experiences or showing gratitude. Being authentic will help you make your speech pure and impressive at the same time.

Try to articulate your feelings in the simplest form which will make your speech sound genuine.

Exaggeration in a speech might make you lose your credibility, making it sound unreal.

In case of students giving a speech for their teachers, you can appreciate their efforts, praise them, or the way in which they helped you garner knowledge, improve your skills, grow confidence as well as to help you choose the right path to success.

In short, when thinking about the best way to thank your teacher/s, consider what exceptional they did or above their call of duty? How did they inspire you or change your thinking? Did they inspire some new academic avocation or activity? What skills will you hold dear in future?

You are basically trying to acknowledge the efforts that your teachers have put in. So try and make your acknowledgement sound genuine and speak from your heart and not just for the sake of saying it.

In case of teachers giving a speech on teachers’ day, you can talk more on the lines of how your students have been motivating you or how happy you are to see their efforts to do better everyday, for instance, showing their interests in the extracurricular activities or competitions.

Pro tip- Do not overdo it, for instance over praising your teachers or students, the listeners will understand it is not coming from your heart.

2) Dedicate your Thoughts

The speaker should be expressive about one’s emotions. Your speech is dedicated to the event of Teachers’ day, so everything you speak has to support the event.

For students giving a speech on teachers’ day, the speaker can dedicate the speech mainly to acknowledge his teachers, communicate gratitude towards them and applaud them for being a beacon of light in their lives.

For teachers giving a speech on teachers’ day, you can talk more about why it is celebrated, the importance of a teacher in a student’s life, what motivates you to be a teacher.

3) The PURPOSE should be at the Heart of your Speech

One thing you need to bear in your mind is the purpose of your speech. Purpose means, why is the speech drafted or for what are you drafting the speech.

For instance, in case of students , the speech is drafted for your teachers in order to pay them a tribute or acknowledge their efforts.

Similarly, in case of teachers , your speech is drafted for the students as well the fellow teachers, so your purpose of talking would be the joy you experience while teaching or guiding your students or expressing your gratitude for the efforts the students have taken to make your day special.

Therefore, your speech needs to revolve much around teachers’ day, so that you don’t deviate from the purpose of your speech.

4) Duration of the Speech

The goal of any speaker is to make his speech memorable and at the same time the one which has a long-lasting impact.

While drafting your speech, try to keep it short and sweet, as it is more likely to hold your audiences’ attention. It also forces you to say what you mean and nothing more. Meaning, you will cover only those points that are central to your message or speech.

Stick to your topic and then draft your speech accordingly – use as few words as possible and limited anecdotes to retain your audiences’ attention without sacrificing the essential information.

Make sure the points you want to make come out clearly.

We’ve written an article on How to Deliver a 1 Minute Speech: Tips, Examples, Topics & More . Check it out to get some tips on how you can deliver a short speech.

After keeping in mind these few suggestions, the next step would be to organize your content, so that your speech flows smoothly.

Here’s an article on How to make your speech flow smoothly . You can review this article to get a better understanding regarding the same.

In order to give a clear and a structured speech, your speech needs to be divided into three parts, mainly- Introduction, Body and Conclusion.

How to Organize your Teachers’ Day Speech?

1) introduction.

An introduction can be best considered as the foundation of your speech. Just as you can’t build a building without forming its base, you cannot build your speech until and unless you don’t introduce your topic.

Introducing your topic will help you gain the audiences’ attention because you’re revealing the purpose of you standing in front of them.

The goal is to start your speech with impact and to do this, you can start by telling a story or a quote, or by asking an interesting question.

Here’s an article that we’ve written on various storytelling approaches that you can consider for your next speech.

You can start your speech with, say like a story or a quote and then connect it to the occasion of Teachers’ day or teachers in general.

For instance, a student can start his speech with a hypothetical situation, supposing a life without a teacher and then connect it to being thankful for having them in your life as torch bearers.

A teacher can start her speech by expressing her gratitude towards the program that has been organized for them along with a few lines regarding why is teachers’ day celebrated

To start your speech with a bang, you can review the article that we wrote on 15 powerful speech opening lines and how to create your own.

After choosing an impactful opening remark, the next part would be the body of your speech.

Oftentimes, more importance is given to the opening and closing remarks and everything in between is considered to be filler. This should not be the case because the body of a speech is where you offer the evidence or data to support your main message.

Taking the previous example in case of students , you can actually start expressing your gratitude towards them, recognize their efforts, explain their importance in your life, and much more.

In case of teachers , you can build your speech on the basis of how your students motivate you or how you feel about teaching as a profession, or what joy you experience while teaching.

3) Conclusion

The conclusion of your speech should restate your main message.

You basically summarize the main points of your speech which will help you to create a long-lasting impression in the minds of your audience.

You can end your speech in much the same way you began- with a story, quotation, or a question.

In case of students ending their Teachers’ day speech, you can thank your teachers for being an essential part of your journey.

In case of teachers ending their Teachers’ day speech, they can provide a bunch of advice to their students.

We have a few suggestions or tips on Ways to end your speech with maximum impact .

To make this simple, here are some points that you can cover while drafting your speech.

4 Points Students can cover in their Teachers’ Day Speech :

  • Teacher’s importance in your life
  • Acknowledge their efforts that they have put in for you
  • You can highlight the significance of teachers’ day
  • Express your gratitude towards them

Education without teachers is like a body without a soul.  “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning” , says Brad Henry. Let’s pick the first keyword over here – ‘HOPE’. A teacher is capable of returning the lost light in a student’s life. Therefore, teachers are the torch bearers who show us the path of success and walk us through the entire path until we achieve something. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the presence of those unsung heroes without whom no profession would have existed, our teachers. It is said that parents give birth to a child, but it is the Teacher who makes sure that the child is not only raised as a tough individual, but also as an ideal citizen. We students have sometimes made it so difficult for a teacher to survive, especially if we personally find a subject boring, but it is the teacher who has made us learn a lesson which is To Never Give Up. Even if we are disrespectful, intolerant, and sometimes cross all our limits of being bearable, she still continues to motivate us.  What a teacher writes on the blackboard of life can never be erased. The values, the skills and the life lessons taught by them are something we all will hold dear in our lives. You are the reason behind our dreams and our farsightedness. You have prepared us to become the fittest and the finest individuals. Without your presence we wouldn’t have learnt how to dream. Thank you for guiding us when we were wrong and being on your toes to get the best out of us, we all are very grateful to have you all as our teachers. I would like to conclude my speech through a short poem called Teachers by Kevin William Huff that summarizes the role of a teacher in a student’s life. Teachers Inspire a love of knowledge and truth As you light the path which leads our youth For our future brightens with each lesson your teach Each smile you lengthen Each goal you help reach For the dawn of each poet, each philosopher and king Begins with a teacher And the wisdom they bring

“There’s no word in the language I revere more than teacher. My heart sings when a kid refers to me as his teacher, and it always has. I’ve honored myself and the entire family of man by becoming a teacher.”  —Pat Conroy, Author It is said that Teachers have got their designation because of the existence of students, who are taught lessons for life. Welcoming the Principal, my fellow teachers and my dear students. It gives me immense pleasure to thank each and every student present here for putting up such a lovely program. We teachers feel highly privileged to have students like you all, so I would like to dedicate this day to all our students. Teaching for me is one of those careers, where you learn something new every day as well as impart knowledge and skills to train individuals and make them ready to face the real world. We really appreciate all the support that you’ve been giving us over the years and continuously reminding us about the value of our work and our potential to impact your lives for the greater good. In short, your support helps us remain mindful of our ultimate purpose and hold on to the passion that fuels our fire.  This special day reminds me of my own gurus and their impact on my life. I remember one of my teachers telling me this, “Beyond the undone and unseen lies the unachieved.” Meaning, to do something that nobody has done or seen and that’s when you will achieve what nobody has. To achieve something extraordinary you need to conquer the 3 D’s- Desire, Determination and Discipline.  Desire means being passionate about something you love.  Determination refers to being dedicated towards something that you are passionate about. Discipline refers to practicing what you are determined about. As teachers, we strongly believe it is our key responsibility to dig in the foundation to construct pillars of great strength. And I truly appreciate the efforts all the teachers have been putting in so as to achieve this. Before I sign off for the day I would like to give you all a piece of advice. Each one of you is different, each one of you has a different caliber, challenge yourself and chase your dreams. There will be a time in your life when you might fail, but don’t give up. Your success lies without your level of patience. Do great for the society and help everyone possible. Never take your profession on your head because at first, you have to be a good human before becoming a good professional. Hence, I proudly say teaching for me is sacred and I revere teaching as a profession.

Keep in mind the purpose of the Teachers’ Day speech – to express your gratitude and appreciation. Avoid any negative comments or criticisms and stay focused on the positive aspects.

Dedicate Your Thoughts

When crafting your Teachers’ Day speech, take the time to reflect on your teacher’s impact on your life. Dedicate your thoughts and emotions to ensure that your speech is authentic and heartfelt.

Incorporate Humor and Emotion

Incorporating humor and emotion into your speech can make it more engaging and memorable. Use personal anecdotes, metaphors, and analogies to make your speech relatable and impactful. However, ensure that the humor is appropriate and does not undermine the purpose of the speech.

Use Personal Anecdotes

A good speech is one that connects with the audience on a personal level. Share personal anecdotes or stories that showcase the impact that teachers have had on your life. This will help you establish an emotional connection with your audience and make your speech more memorable.

Be Unconventional

While there are some standard conventions for a Teachers’ Day Speech, don’t be afraid to break the mold and try something new. Perhaps you can incorporate a poem, a song, or a visual aid to make your speech more memorable.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Once you have written your speech, practice delivering it multiple times. This will help you become more comfortable with the material and ensure that you deliver a polished and confident speech.

By following these tips and incorporating your own unique style, you can craft a speech that celebrates and honors the hard work and dedication of teachers everywhere. Remember to speak from the heart, and your message will resonate with your audience for years to come.

After guiding your child to write a well-crafted Teachers’ Day Speech, the next step is to help them practice and deliver it with confidence. Here are some tips to ensure your child’s speech is not only impressive but also emotionally touching:

  • Practice, Practice, Practice: Encourage your child to rehearse their speech in front of a mirror or with family and friends. This will help them overcome stage fright and build their confidence.
  • Focus on Intonation and Voice Modulation: The tone of voice and modulation can make or break a speech. Encourage your child to practice speaking in a clear, confident, and emotive tone. Teach them to emphasize important words, phrases, and expressions to make their speech more impactful.
  • Maintain a Moderate Rate of Speech: Your child should speak at a pace that is neither too fast nor too slow. Speaking too fast may cause the audience to miss important points, while speaking too slowly can make the speech boring and uninteresting.
  • Use a Pleasing Pitch: Your child’s pitch should be pleasing to the ear. Teach them to speak with a tone that is neither too high nor too low. This will make their speech more engaging and interesting to listen to.
  • Engage the Audience with Presentation: Encourage your child to use appropriate gestures and body language to complement their speech. This will help them connect with the audience and keep them engaged throughout the speech.
  • Maintain Eye Contact: Your child should maintain eye contact with the audience while delivering their speech. This will make them appear confident and sincere.

By following these tips, your child can deliver an impressive and touching speech that will leave their teachers feeling appreciated and valued.

How to Prepare Your Child for the Speech

Preparing your child for a speech can be a daunting task, but with the right approach, it can be an enjoyable experience for both you and your child. Whether your child is giving a speech for a school assembly or a special occasion like Teacher’s Day, here are some tips to help them prepare and deliver an outstanding speech.

  • Start Early: It’s important to give your child enough time to prepare their speech. This will allow them to research the topic, organize their thoughts, and practice their delivery. Encourage your child to start working on their speech at least a week in advance.
  • Understand the Audience: Before your child starts writing their speech, it’s important to understand the audience they will be speaking to. This will help them tailor their speech to the interests and expectations of the listeners.
  • Practice, Practice, Practice: Once your child has written their speech, encourage them to practice it several times. This will help them feel more confident and comfortable with their delivery. You can also practice with them by giving feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Intonation and Voice Modulation: Encourage your child to practice their intonation and voice modulation. This will help them to add emphasis to important points and create a more engaging delivery. A monotone delivery can quickly lose the attention of the audience.
  • Moderate Rate of Speech: Encourage your child to speak at a moderate rate. Speaking too fast can cause the audience to lose track of what’s being said, while speaking too slow can cause them to lose interest.
  • Use Personal Anecdotes: Encourage your child to include personal anecdotes in their speech. This will help them connect with the audience on a deeper level and make their speech more memorable.
  • Incorporate Humor: Humor is a great way to engage the audience and make the speech more entertaining. Encourage your child to include appropriate humor in their speech.
  • Keep it Short and Simple: Encourage your child to keep their speech short and to the point. A long, rambling speech can quickly lose the interest of the audience.
  • Use Visual Aids: If appropriate, encourage your child to use visual aids to support their speech. This can include slides, pictures, or props that help to illustrate their points.
  • Be Confident: Finally, encourage your child to be confident in their delivery. Remind them that they have worked hard to prepare their speech and that they have important things to share with the audience. With the right preparation and mindset, your child can deliver a successful and memorable speech.
  • Encourage them to practice in front of a mirror: This will help them to work on their facial expressions and body language, which are important aspects of delivering a great speech.
  • Record their practice sessions: By recording their practice sessions, your child can listen to themselves and identify areas where they need to improve, such as intonation, pacing, or clarity.
  • Provide constructive feedback: When listening to your child’s practice sessions, be sure to offer constructive feedback that will help them improve their speech. Focus on specific areas where they can improve, and be sure to offer praise for what they’re doing well.
  • Help them to memorize the speech: While it’s not necessary for your child to memorize their entire speech, it’s a good idea for them to memorize the opening and closing lines, as well as any important points they want to make.
  • Practice with an audience: Encourage your child to practice their speech in front of a small audience, such as family members or close friends. This will help them to get used to speaking in front of others and build their confidence.
  • Remind them to breathe: Before your child begins their speech, remind them to take a deep breath and exhale slowly. This will help to calm their nerves and steady their voice.
  • Dress appropriately: Encourage your child to dress appropriately for the occasion. This will help them to feel confident and professional, which will shine through in their speech.

Remember, the most important thing is to help your child feel confident and prepared for their Teacher’s Day speech. With your guidance and support, they’ll be able to deliver a speech that is heartfelt, meaningful, and impactful.

Final Thoughts: Empower Your Child to Give an Unforgettable Speech on Teacher’s Day

As a parent, you may feel overwhelmed by the prospect of helping your child prepare a speech for Teacher’s Day. It’s natural to feel nervous about how your child will perform and how their teacher and peers will react.

But let me tell you this: you are not alone. Every parent wants their child to shine and make a positive impact, especially on such a special occasion as Teacher’s Day.

Perhaps you’re thinking, ‘But what if my child doesn’t have a natural talent for public speaking? What if they forget their lines or freeze on stage?’

First of all, it’s important to remember that every child is unique and has their own strengths and weaknesses. Some children may feel more comfortable speaking in front of an audience than others, but with the right guidance and practice, every child can improve their communication skills and deliver a meaningful speech.

Secondly, the benefits of helping your child prepare a speech for Teacher’s Day are immense. Not only will your child learn how to express their gratitude and appreciation for their teacher, but they will also gain valuable skills such as public speaking, critical thinking, and creativity. They will feel more confident and empowered, and their teacher and peers will be inspired by their words.

So, don’t be afraid to embrace this opportunity and guide your child towards giving an unforgettable speech on Teacher’s Day. Use the tips and strategies outlined in this article, and remember to practice patience, kindness, and encouragement with your child.

A teacher is like Summer, Whose sunny temperament Makes studying a pleasure, Preventing discontent. A teacher is like Fall, With methods crisp and clear, Lessons of bright colors And a happy atmosphere. In 1962, when he was selected as the president of India, he was asked by students if he would like them to celebrate his birthday on 5th September. Speech on Teacher’s Day (500 Words, 5 Minutes Speech)

गुरुर्ब्रह्माग्रुरुर्विष्णुःगुरुर्देवोमहेश्वरः।

गुरुःसाक्षात्परंब्रह्मतस्मैश्रीगुरवेनमः।।

Good Morning! Honorable Principal sir, director sir, teachers, chief guests, and my dear friends. I am Jagdish Rathor and I study in class 10 th . It’s an honour and a huge pleasure for me to be standing here today. On this special occasion, I want to say few words on behalf of our respected teachers, who are thought of as the backbone of our society. Today is Teacher’s Day, which is a celebration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. He was one of the best teachers our nation has ever had. He was also India’s second president. Dr. Radhakrishnan told that it would be a great honor for him if they didn’t celebrate his birthday on September 5 but instead made it Teachers’ Day. This really shows how much he cared about teaching and how much he wanted to honor all teachers.

We all know that the word “teacher” is hard to describe. It’s not easy to be a teacher, because they have to teach students all day without sitting down, figuring out their strengths and weaknesses, and then work on them in the right way. Teachers don’t just shape the lives of the students they teach, but also the lives of the whole generation. Teaching is more than just a good job. It’s also one of the greatest contributions to mankind. A teacher is an intellectual and spiritual guide, and they help their students so that they can spread their wings and fly. They give us the strength to get through life’s hard times. They help us turn our raw potential into beautiful realities. They plant the seeds of knowledge, grow our skills, and give us the power to become the best versions of ourselves. In addition to giving us knowledge, teachers also teach us essential values and qualities that shape us. They teach us how important it is to be honest and have ethics, to respect others, and to never give up. They make us want to dream big, follow our interests, and keep going even when things get hard.

Teacher’s Day is a good time to tell our teachers how much we appreciate them and how important they are to us. Without them, our lives would be useless. As we celebrate Teachers’ Day today, let’s thank the teachers who have made a difference in our lives. Let’s appreciate the pleasure of remembering how hard they worked to make their lessons interesting, how patiently they answered all of our questions, and how much they cared about us when we needed it the most. I bow my head and thank them from the bottom of my heart, now and always. Have a happy teacher’s day! Last but not least, I’d like to end my speech with a quote from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: “The goal of education is to make good people who are skilled and knowledgeable. Teachers can help people become more enlightened.” Thank you to all of my teachers, who have always shown us the way and been there for us.

Speech on Teachers Day in English For Students

Teacher's Day Speech by Students In English - Teacher's Day speech is given by students on 5th September to celebrate the mentors and teachers who contribute to shape the young minds and the next generation. This is an honorary tradition that started in the year 1962 on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary, who was the 2nd president of our country and a great philosopher, mentor, and a teacher. In this article, the importance of 5th September is explained in detail in the form of a Long and a Short Speech on Teachers' Day.

Long Speech on Teacher’s Day

Long Speech on Teachers' Day in English for students is helpful for students in grades 7-12. Let's look at the speech.

Greetings to everyone gathered here!

On the occasion of Teacher's Day respected teachers, and my dear friends I ABC (your name) welcome you here as we acknowledge and appreciate the work our teachers put in.

When we think about the first teacher in our lives, the first person that comes to mind is our parents'. They are our teachers at home who teach us how to live. Then we go to school for formal education and meet our teachers who teach us various academic subjects and essential life skills. Teachers shape the young minds of our country and show them how to be  good citizens. Today is the day to honour all of them in a small way.

Teacher's day is celebrated around the world to appreciate the mentors in our lives on different days. In India, we celebrate this day on 5th September every year, in the honour of the 2nd president of our country Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was born on the 5th of September 1962. Apart from being a revolutionary leader, he was also a  great philosopher, teacher, and guide who has made a lasting impact on youth and on generations to come. When some of his beloved students wanted to celebrate his birthday, the humbled Dr. Radhakrishnan said, "Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is observed as Teachers' Day."

After all parents and teachers are the role models that children look upto and learn valuable skills in life.  Our school teachers help us find our interests and nurture them into hobbies. They play a major role in guiding and encouraging our professional inclination at every stage with so much care and understanding. Teachers shape the destiny of a student by guiding them and are the reason behind the successful career of a student.

Teaching is the profession from which comes all the other professions. Because our teachers find out about different opportunities available and make an informed choice about our careers. They help their students form opinions about important things like current realities and fight for justice for the underprivileged. Teachers are happier when their students evolve to be better and more successful than them. They create future minds and the society we will live in relies on them.

Teachers understand the minds of their students and teach them accordingly. They are so encouraging and always try to show the correct way to find a solution for any problem. Apart from giving academic knowledge, they also teach us moral values that we carry with us throughout our lives. Our teachers teach us how to be good sportsmen when we fail and enlighten us on the importance of making mistakes and learning from them. They help us realise the benefits of being a team player and respecting everyone around us. These are what serves as the groundwork for building a good personality.

Teaching someone is the greatest service a human being can offer to help another human being realise their full potential. Teaching since time immemorial has been through stories from our great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents. Even in our sacred texts such as the Mahabharata or the Quran, there are references of a teacher-student interaction where a sage or prophet imparts knowledge to their students. It is one of the holiest traditions of passing on the wealth of knowledge from one generation to another.

However, teaching as a profession came about when the Gurukul system was practised wherein the students went to study and learn from the rishis and sages. In the earlier days, the Gurus taught their students academic knowledge like science, Maths, and languages and taught a way of life. Right from the most basic cooking skills to martial arts and vocational skills like pottery and carpentry, to name a few. As the teaching profession evolved, we now have different teachers for each subject.

Appreciating teachers is so important because the work they do is selfless and often undervalued for their contribution. Even during the most challenging times of a worldwide pandemic, teachers worldwide rose to the challenge and made sure the future of their students was not harmed.

They adapted to the new ways of teaching online in such a short period, it is worth marvelling. Once again, teachers proved that they constantly put the needs of their students and their growth first. Many teachers also acted as a big support system for their students during the trying times of the coronavirus.

We are so honoured to have teachers like you, who have taught us so much about life and the importance of being a good human being. We are also grateful to you for being so kind and patient with us all along our faults and mischief.

To recognise your consistent efforts, we want to make this day memorable for all our teachers with the various activities that we have planned. There are many games organised, like musical chairs for teachers, skits performed by students, stage performances by teachers as well as students. This is a small way of acknowledging the selfless work you put in for our bright future. We hope you have a great time today. Happy Teachers Day.

The world celebrates Teachers’ Day on the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 International Labour Organisation (ILO)/UNESCO recommendation concerning the status of teachers all around the world. It has set the benchmark regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers.

When Dr. S. Radhakrishnan became the second President of India in 1962, many of his previous students approached him to seek permission to celebrate his birthday, September 5, as a special day. He, instead of granting permission to celebrate his birthday, he requested them to celebrate September 5 as Teachers’ Day, and to recognise the contributions made by teachers to society.

Teachers are one of the top influencers of our lives. Every human being will have a story to tell about the impact made by teachers on their lives. Teachers take every effort possible to enrich the lives of their students, and they bring great changes to our society. What would be the condition of a generation if there are no teachers to inspire them?

With time and effort, a teacher lights the way for their students. It will be a mistake if we fail to notice their devotion and hard work. So let’s celebrate Teachers’ Day and try our best to widen their smiles.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born in Tiruttani, Andhra Pradesh, on September 5, 1888. He was an academic, prominent philosopher and statesman, and was one of the most recognised Indian thinkers. Radhakrishnan’s broad knowledge of western philosophy and literary traditions made him attain a huge reputation, and it was through his teachings that many western philosophies were introduced to Indian society. He was an outstanding student during his school and college years, and later became a great teacher. Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was a person who dedicated his life to educating others.

In 1921, he was appointed as the professor of Philosophy to the King George Ⅴ Chair of Mental and Moral Science at the University of Calcutta. For 12 years, he worked in the university, and during that period, he represented the University of Calcutta at the Congress of the Universities of the British Empire, as well as at the International Congress of Philosophy at Harvard University. Then, later in 1936, he was appointed by H.N. Spalding as a Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions and Ethics at the University of Oxford. H.N. Spalding was highly impressed by his lectures and thus specifically made a position for him in the university. Students of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan highly admired and respected him. Once, his students arranged a flower-decked carriage to take him to the Mysore railway station from the Mysore University. It was in the year 1921, and the carriage was pulled by the students themselves.

Dr. S. Radhakrishnan has taught in multiple colleges all over India, and teaching for him was a divine profession. According to him, “True teachers are those who help us think for ourselves”. Later in 1948, he became the chairman of the University Education Commission. Radhakrishnan was elected as the first Vice-President of India in 1952, and elected as the second President of India (1962–1967). He was granted several awards during his lifetime. It includes a Knighthood in 1931, the highest civilian award – the Bharat Ratna in 1954, and the honorary membership of the British Royal Order of Merit in 1963. Good morning everyone,

Today, we are gathered here to celebrate a day that holds immense significance in our lives – Teacher's Day. This day is dedicated to honouring those individuals who tirelessly dedicate themselves to our growth, both academically and personally. Our teachers are the guiding lights who illuminate the path of knowledge, wisdom, and character-building for us.

Teachers' Day is not just a day to offer flowers and gifts; it's a day to express our deep gratitude and appreciation for the selfless work our teachers do. They play a pivotal role in shaping our future and moulding us into responsible citizens of society. Their dedication goes beyond the classroom as they inspire us to dream big and believe in ourselves.

On this day, we remember the great philosopher and teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary we celebrate as Teacher's Day. He believed that education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about fostering a sense of empathy, compassion, and critical thinking.

As students, we are fortunate to have teachers who not only impart knowledge but also instil values that stay with us for a lifetime. They encourage us to think beyond textbooks, ask questions, and explore the world around us. They provide a safe and nurturing environment where we can learn, grow, and make mistakes.

So, let's take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our teachers for their dedication, patience, and hard work. Let's promise to value the education they provide us and strive to make the best use of the opportunities they offer.

Long Speech on Teacher’s Day for Students

Respected Principal, teachers, dear students, and esteemed guests,

Good morning to all of you,

Today, we are gathered here to celebrate a day that holds immense significance in our lives – Teacher's Day. This day provides us with an opportunity to express our deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions that our teachers make to our education and personal growth.

Teachers are the architects of our futures. They are the guiding lights that illuminate the path of knowledge, wisdom, and character-building for us. Their impact goes far beyond the classroom, shaping not only our academic pursuits but also our values, aspirations, and outlook on life. As we celebrate Teacher's Day, it is essential to reflect on the profound role teachers play in moulding us into responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

The history of Teacher's Day dates back to the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a distinguished philosopher, scholar, and teacher. His dedication to education and his belief in the power of knowledge to transform lives have left an indelible mark on our society. It was his humility and commitment that led him to suggest that his birthday should be celebrated not as his own, but as a day to honour teachers. This gesture exemplifies the humility and selflessness that define the teaching profession.

The journey of education cannot be traversed alone. It requires the guidance, mentorship, and support of dedicated teachers who nurture us along the way. They invest their time, energy, and passion in ensuring that we are equipped with the tools we need to succeed, both academically and in life. They believe in us even when we doubt ourselves and encourage us to reach for the stars.

Every teacher is unique and brings their own style and approach to the classroom. Some teachers are strict taskmasters, pushing us to achieve our best, while others are compassionate listeners, ready to offer a guiding hand when we face challenges. Regardless of their methods, all teachers share a common goal – to empower us with knowledge and skills that will enable us to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The impact of a teacher goes beyond academic subjects. They are role models who teach us values like honesty, empathy, and perseverance. They inspire us to be curious, to question the world around us, and to seek knowledge beyond the confines of textbooks. Teachers shape our character, instil in us a sense of responsibility towards society, and encourage us to contribute positively to the world.

Think back to the teachers who have left a lasting impression on your life. Perhaps it was a teacher who patiently explained a difficult concept until you grasped it, a teacher who recognized your potential and encouraged you to pursue your passions or a teacher who offered a listening ear and words of comfort during challenging times. These are the teachers who go above and beyond, and who make a difference not only in our education but in our hearts.

As we celebrate Teacher's Day, let us not forget the challenges that teachers face. The teaching profession is one of dedication and sacrifice. Teachers often work long hours, spend countless evenings grading papers, and invest their own resources to create engaging learning experiences for us. It is important that we acknowledge their efforts and show our appreciation not just on this day but throughout the year.

So, how can we make this Teacher's Day meaningful? Firstly, let us express our gratitude. A simple "thank you" can go a long way in letting our teachers know that their hard work is recognized and valued. Secondly, let us strive to be active participants in our education. Engage in class discussions, ask questions, and take ownership of your learning journey. Lastly, let us carry forward the lessons our teachers have taught us. Let's be kind, curious, and committed to making a positive impact on the world around us.

In conclusion, let us celebrate Teacher's Day with genuine appreciation for the teachers who shape our lives. Let us honour their dedication, recognize their impact, and express our heartfelt gratitude. Remember that the knowledge and values they impart will continue to influence us long after we leave the school gates. As we embark on our journey of learning and growth, let us carry the torch of knowledge that our teachers have passed on to us and make them proud in all our endeavours.

How To Conclude Teacher's Day Speech?

  • Extend gratitude to your listeners and offer a heartfelt "thank you."
  • Concluding with a resonant quote about teachers while expressing your sincere appreciation can be especially impactful.
  • Don't shy away from weaving in your encounters and experiences, as these anecdotes can infuse authenticity and emotion into your speech, making it all the more impactful.

Teachers often feel underappreciated because they aren’t always recognized for their actions. Teachers need to be praised for their hard work and dedication. You can thank all those teachers through a speech! When you give them a well-written speech, they’ll appreciate your words and remember them long after the event ends. You should plan and write out your speech before the event takes place.

Here are some ideas to express your gratitude to teachers on teacher’s day with your speech.

Start Your Speech With A Greeting

Students aspiring to deliver speeches on Teachers Day are confused about what to say when starting. It is always recommended to start your speech with a greeting like “good morning” or “good afternoon” depending on the time. You can also greet the audience using the phrase “good morning to all teachers and my dearest friends”.

After that, you can add a quote to get the audience’s attention. Quotes can be anything related to education. For example, if you are speaking about the importance of education, you can say something like “Education is the key to success” or “Education is the best gift we receive from our teachers”.

Include The Reason Why Teachers’ Day Is Celebrated

Teachers’ Day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He is considered to be the greatest philosopher and social reformer of India. His teachings were instrumental in shaping modern Indian thought. The speech should be written keeping in mind his philosophy and ideals. A quote about teachers and appreciation towards them should also be included at the end.

Suggested – Things Successful Teachers Do

Highlight The Learnings and The Significance Of The Day

Students are encouraged to conclude their speeches with an impactful statement about what they learned during the event. They could also share their opinions about the event, its significance, and how it changed them. These statements will help other students understand why they chose to participate in the event and what they gained from it. It is undeniable that the speech will be incomplete if we forget about Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s memory.

You should remember him by including his quote at the end of your speech. The end of the speech should remind the audience of what you think best highlights the teachers’ success . Leave the audience with a positive image of teachers.

Connect With The Audience

Speech is an art form. It is not just words spoken out loud, but also the body language, facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, and other nonverbal cues accompanying them. A great speaker is someone who connects with his/her audience emotionally. He/she should be able to connect with the audience through his/her eyes and voice.

Suggested – How Important Are Teachers for Society

Picture the crowd, or even place yourself among them. Think about the best way to capture everyone’s attention. You could tell a funny story, or summarize the honoree. As you sit down to write your speech, have testimonials, and a list of qualities handy as a reference. Choose which thoughts or qualities work well to promote the teachers, then focus on those.

Appreciate Every Teacher Individually

Appreciate teachers because they are doing something that matters. You should start with a list of all the reasons you appreciate them. Then mention specific teaching styles that set them apart, such as “uses hands-on activities” or “engages students with an interactive lecture”.

Think about the individual teacher’s personality traits also, adding them to the speech. Also, think about the teacher’s achievements throughout his/her career. These will show how he/she has impacted the community.

Add Compelling Quotes for Teachers

Quotes from parents, students, or other teachers can add a lot to a speech. Ask them about their own experience working with the teacher. Bring your recorder or pen and paper so you can write down direct quotes and get permission before adding the quotes to the speech. Then, select two or three favorite quotes from students, faculty members, or parents and give full credit to the source.

Practice And Proofread

Read a speech out loud at least once before presenting it to the audience. Remember that pacing yourself is important. This can help you achieve the desired tone and give you an idea of the length of your speech . Try to make an impression in time. Listen for grammar and structure while checking for the organization. Do not worry about how often you need to return to the writing desk. Your audience will register your confidence, and they’ll respond to it.

Final Thoughts

Teachers are the backbone of our society. Teachers shape and mold our personalities and help us grow into better citizens. As one looks at their impact on the student body’s growth, education, and well-being, one must agree that they play an important role in our society.

Parents give birth to a student whereas teachers mold that student’s personality and provide a brighter future. Apart from academics, they stand by us at every stage to guide, motivate and encourage us to become better people. We are always grateful to them for their selfless service and dynamic support!

Teachers Day Speech 2

Good Morning my dear friends, respected teachers, and the school staff. Today, we have assembled here to celebrate the special and much-awaited occasion of Teachers’ Day.

But before we begin the celebrations, I would like to say something about why we celebrate Teachers Day and why it is important.

Teachers Day is celebrated to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the 2 nd President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. You must be wondering why the birthday of a former President is celebrated as Teachers Day.

Mr. Radhakrishnan was a distinguished scholar and an excellent teacher as well. He was so much popular among his students that he was revered.

Once, while serving as the President, his students asked him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on the 5 th of September, but he declined and asked them to celebrate it as Teachers Day. Thus, we celebrate Teachers Day on 5 th September to honor a teacher’s services to society and the nation.

I want to request all the students present to express all the love and respect you have for your teachers today and enjoy the day to the fullest. Happy Teachers Day once Again!!

Teachers Day Speech 3

Good morning to the respected teachers and my dear colleagues. We all know the huge crowd is the reason for the nice gathering here. We are here to celebrate Teacher’s day today and give them our heartily tribute for their hard efforts in making our nation’s future. Today is the 5 th of September, and on this day, we celebrate teachers’ day every year with lots of joy, happiness, and enthusiasm. First, I would like to thank my class teacher for giving me such a big opportunity to speak here on this great occasion. My dear friends, today, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, I would like to give a speech on the importance of teachers in our life in English.

The 5 th of September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day all over India every year. The 5 th of September is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great scholar and teacher. In his later life, first, he became the Vice President of the Indian republic and then the President of the Indian republic.

Students all across the country observe this day to pay respect to their teachers. It is truly said that teachers are the backbone of our society. They play a great role in building up students’ characters and shaping them to become ideal citizens of India.

Teachers teach students very carefully and sincerely, just like their own children. It is well said that teachers are great than parents. Parents give birth to a child, whereas teachers shape their character and make the future bright. Thus we never forget and ignore them; we always respect and love them. Our parents are responsible for giving us love and quality care; however, our teachers are responsible for making the whole future bright and successful. Their continuous efforts let us know the importance of education in our life.

They serve as our wellsprings of inspiration, propelling us forward towards success. Through their guidance, they kindle our determination to learn, drawing upon the examples of prominent individuals from around the globe. They fortify us, equipping us to confront life’s challenges with resilience. Their profound wisdom and extensive knowledge enrich our lives. Come on, my dear friends, say, ‘ our respected teachers, we are always grateful to you for all you do for us.’ My dear friends, we should always obey our teacher’s orders and follow their advice to be worthy citizens of India.

Teachers Day Speech 4

Good morning to the Principal, respected teachers, and my dear colleagues. We are here today to celebrate a most honorable occasion of Teachers’ day. It is a good occasion for all the students all over India. It is observed every year to pay respect to the teachers from their obedient students. So, dear friends, join this celebration to respect our teachers heartily. They are called the backbone of our society because they contribute to building up our characters, shaping our future, and helping us be ideal citizens of the country.

Teacher’s day is celebrated every year across India on the 5 th of September to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contributions to our study, society, and the country. There is an excellent reason behind the celebration of teacher’s day on the 5 th of September. The 5 th of September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan . He was a great person and highly devoted to education. He was well known as a scholar, diplomat, Vice President of India, and, most importantly, Teacher.

After his selection as the Indian President in 1962, he was asked and requested by the students to get permission to celebrate his birthday on the 5 th of September. However, he replied that, instead of celebrating the 5 th of September as my birthday, it would be better if it was dedicated to the whole teaching profession. And 5 th of September should be celebrated as a teachers’ day all over India to honor the teaching profession.

For all students of India, Teachers’ Day is like an occasion and opportunity to pay tribute and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless, and precious efforts in shaping the future. They are the reason to enrich all the quality education system in the country and process it continuously without getting tired. Our teachers never consider us less than their children and teach us from their hearts. As kids, we need inspiration and motivation, which we surely get from our teachers. They prepare us to tackle any bad situation in life through knowledge and patience. Dear teachers, we are grateful to all of you and will be forever.

Teachers Day Speech 5

Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends. As we all know that we are here to celebrate teachers’ day today. My self, _______ studying in class __ would like to speech on the occasion of Teachers Day. But first of all, I would like to thank my class teacher for offering me such a great opportunity to speak on teachers’ day. The title of my speech is, why teachers are so important in our life.

In India, the students celebrate teachers’ day on the 5 th of September. It is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan . His birth date has been celebrated as teachers day every year since he became President of India in 1962 after the student’s request.

Teachers play key roles in education and student’s life. Teachers generally become a person with proper vision, knowledge, and experience. The teaching profession is a profession of great responsibility than any other job. The teaching profession greatly impacts the students’ and nation’s growth, development, and well-being. According to Madan Mohan Malaviya (founder of Banaras Hindu University), a teacher is “…….It Lies Largely In His Teacher’s Hand To Mould The Mind Of The Child Who Is Father Of The Man. Suppose He Is Patriotic And Devoted To The National Cause And Realizes His Responsibility. In that case, He Can Produce A Race Of Patriotic Men And Women Who Would Religiously Place The Country Above The Community And National Gain Above Communal Advantage.”

Teachers have many precious roles in the education of students, society, and the country. The growth and development of the people, society, and country solely depend on the quality of education a good teacher can give. Good quality education is necessary for all to fulfill the need of politicians, doctors, engineers, businessmen, farmers, artists, scientists, etc. in the country. Teachers have to continue hard work and go through various books, articles, etc. to put thorough knowledge needed by society. They always guide their students and tell them the path to make a good career. Many ideal teachers in India have set themselves as role models for upcoming teachers.

An ideal teacher becomes courteous all time without being impartial and not affected by insult. Teachers are like parents in the school for all students. They do their best to maintain the health and concentration level of the students. They motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities besides studies to improve their mental level.

I am going to recite some well-said quotes on education, students, and teachers by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi , during his interaction with students on Teachers’ Day:

  • “Education should become a force for the nation’s character building.”
  • “Dialogue with students: Enjoy childhood. Don’t let the child in you die.”
  • “We must restore respect for the teacher in our society.”
  • “Can’t India dream of exporting good teachers?”
  • “Children can contribute to nation-building through cleanliness, saving electricity and water.”

The 5th of September is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan, celebrated as teachers’ day. Teachers’ day is a special event in many countries on different dates. In China, it is celebrated on the 10th of September every year. There is a big reason behind celebrating Teacher's Day on 5th September. In fact, 5th September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great man and completely devoted to education. He is well known as a scholar, diplomat, Vice-President of India, President of India and most importantly as a teacher.

After his election as President in 1962, students prayed for his birthday to be celebrated on 5 September. After much request, he replied that instead of celebrating 5th September as my personal birthday, it would be better to dedicate this day to the whole educational profession. And since then 5 September is celebrated all over India as Teacher's Day in honor of the educational profession.

For all the students of India, Teacher's Day is a celebration and occasion to pay respect and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping their future. They are the reason for the untiring efforts made for enriching the quality education system in the country.

Our teachers do not consider us less than our own children and teach us diligently. As a child, when we need inspiration and encouragement, which we definitely get from our teachers. They teach us to get out of any bad situation in life through wisdom and patience. Dear teachers, we all will be truly grateful to you always.

Good morning to the respected headmaster, sir, madam and my dear classmates. As we all know that, today we have gathered here to celebrate Teacher's Day. I, a student studying in ……….. class, want to express my thoughts on Teacher’s Day. But, first of all, I would like to thank my class teacher for giving me the opportunity to give a speech on the great occasion of Teacher's Day. The topic of my speech is "Why is teacher so important in our life".

In India, Teacher's Day is celebrated by the students on 5th September every year. It is the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Since his birth as the President of India in 1962, his birthday is celebrated as Teacher's Day on the grace of the students.

Teachers really play an important role in the education and life of the students. Teachers usually become individuals with proper vision, knowledge and experience. The profession of teachers is more responsibilities than any other profession. The educational profession has a profound impact on the growth, development, and well-being of both the students and the nation. According to Madan Mohan Malaviya (founder of Banaras Hindu University), “A child who is the father of a man, depends very much on his teacher to mold his mind. If he is patriotic and dedicated to the country and understands his responsibilities, then he can create a caste of patriotic men and women who will put nation above righteousness and national benefit above community benefit.”

The teacher has many important roles in the education of the students, society and the country. The development and growth of people, society and country depends on the quality of education, which is given only by a good teacher. Good quality education is very necessary to fulfill the need of politicians, doctors, engineers, businessmen, farmers, artists, scientists, etc. in the country. Teachers constantly work hard to acquire through books, articles, etc. the necessary knowledge for the society. He always guides his students and shows them the way for a good career. There are many great teachers in India who have established themselves as a source of inspiration for the upcoming teachers.

An ideal teacher should be fair and polite at all times without being affected by humiliation. Teachers are like parents to all the students in the school. They try their best to maintain the health and concentration level of the students. They also encourage their students to participate in extra-curricular activities apart from studies to improve their mental level.

I would like to say some of the things that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi said about education, students and teachers in his conversation with his students on Teachers' Day:

  • "Education should become a force for building the character of the nation."
  • “Conversations with children: enjoy childhood. Don't let go of your inner child till you die."
  • "We must restore the respect for teachers in our society."
  • "Can't India dream of exporting good teachers."
  • “Children can contribute in nation building through cleanliness, saving energy and water.”

Good morning to the Principal, respected teachers and teachers and my dear classmates gathered here. We all have gathered here to celebrate the celebration of Teacher's Day. Today is 5th September. Which is celebrated in all colleges and schools to honor their invaluable contribution to the society and country by shaping their career by imparting knowledge to their teachers, to their teachers.

Teacher's Day program is a famous national program in our country, it is celebrated because of the request of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by the students to celebrate his birthday. 5 September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is celebrated as Teacher's Day. Students show respect to their teachers for their selfless efforts and enrichment of education system across the country.

Teacher's Day is celebrated as a special event in different countries on different dates. In China, it is celebrated every year on 10 September. The purpose of celebrating this event in all countries is usually to honor teachers and praise achievements in the field of education. Many preparations are done by the students in schools and colleges during the organization of this program. Many students celebrate this event by participating in cultural programs, speeches and other activities to make it memorable. Some students celebrate it in their own way by respecting and appreciating their dear teacher through any flower, cart, gift, e-greeting card, SMS, message etc.

Teacher's Day is a wonderful occasion for all the students to do something special in honor and respect to their teachers. It is like a compliment for a new teacher to be a responsible teacher towards education in the future. As a student, I will always be grateful to the teachers in my life.

1. Short Speech on Teachers’ Day for Classes 9, 10, 11 & 12 ( 5 Minutes )

First of all, good morning to all. My name is Abhishek Awasthi and I am a student in class 9th.

As you all know that today is the 5th of September and it’s a very special day for all of us. The day is special for us because the former President of our country Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was born on this day.

Since Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was a good philosopher and teacher, so we also know this day as Teachers’ Day.

Today, we have gathered here to celebrate Teachers’ Day. So first of all, I would like to thank all the teachers for giving me an opportunity to express my thoughts on this day and also all the students who have come to the school to make this day very special.

A teacher is a human-like machine that guides the future of the students. He is the only person who is responsible for the success of the students.

As the responsibility of parents is to take care of the children. Similarly, the responsibility of a teacher is to make the future of the students.

Teachers are the guides by whom the complete character of the students can be formed. They always tell the students, what is better or worse? So, they are considered above parents. If there were no teachers, perhaps we would have been unable to find the path to success.

A teacher is that kind of lamp, which always gives light. They don’t focus on profit but provide selfless education to the students.

Teachers play a huge role in students’ lives. That’s why I would request all of you to respect your teachers always.

Once again, I wish you all a very Happy Teachers’ Day.

My greetings to all the teachers and my friends. I am Priyanka Soni and I read in class 7th. Today, we are celebrating Teachers’ Day only because of a person whose name was Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.

He was our former Vice President and was later elected as president. Since he contributed a lot to the field of education that’s why we celebrate his birthday as Teachers’ Day.

This day is as important for the teachers as it’s for the students. Every year, the 5th of September brings a lot of respect for the teachers as the students celebrate this day with great pomp.

Children are the future of our country, so teachers always guide them to be good citizens. Moreover, teachers are such types of lamps that always fill the light of knowledge in students.

A teacher never encourages us to do wrong things rather he always encourages us to do those things which are responsible to build a strong nation.

The great poet Kabir Das also said that the people should give importance to teachers more than God.

A teacher never discriminates among students. He imparts equal education to the students. He not only improves the innate powers of the students but also gives them the right direction so that they can develop themselves in the right way.

I really appreciate their immense contribution that made us who we are.

Whatever I say about the teachers will be less. So, students should always show their gratitude to such human beings who are teachers.

Ultimately, I end my words here by thanking all the teachers in the world.

Alex: In the main part, you can talk about the qualities that make a great teacher – their dedication, knowledge, patience, and how they inspire students. You could also mention some of the challenges teachers face and how they overcome them.

Sarah: Right, I definitely want to highlight the hard work teachers put in. Should I make it formal or add some humor?

Alex: It’s great to strike a balance. You can use a respectful and slightly formal tone, but a touch of humor can make your speech more engaging. Maybe share a light-hearted classroom moment or a funny teacher-student interaction.

Sarah: Got it. And how do I wrap it up effectively?

Alex: End with a heartfelt thank you to all the teachers for their dedication and impact. You can also mention the role of teachers in shaping the future and express your hopes for continuing the positive influence they’ve had on you and your fellow students.

Sarah: That sounds like a strong conclusion. How long should the speech be?

Alex: Aim for a speech that’s around 3-5 minutes long. It’s enough to convey your appreciation and share your thoughts without dragging on.

Sarah: Alright, this really helps! I’ll start working on the speech using these guidelines. Thanks a ton for your guidance.

Alex: No problem at all! I know you’ll do great. If you need any more help or someone to review your speech, I’m here for you.
