If you are an enlisted member who is performing duties which have been designated as extremely difficult or involving an unusual degree of responsibility in a military skill, you may be entitled to Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP).

This message kicks off the AY22 Special Assignments (SA) process. 2. All members are highly encouraged to pursue at least one Special Assignment during their career. These career broadening assignments provide members valuable opportunities to represent their ratings, network, and learn about other operational and mission support activities, making them ideal candidates for future assignments to highly visible leadership and management positions (e.g. Silver Badge, OIC, School Chief). 3. SA offers a variety of programs available to all ratings, ranking from PO3 to POCM. Information on all programs can be found at Ref (C). 4. Eligibility: a. Meet requirements listed in Ref (A), Article 1.E.2 and elsewhere in the chapter for specific programs. b. Additional requirements listed in the Program's corresponding ALCGENL and/or Information Sheet located at Ref (C). 5. Solicitation Process: Each SA will have a separate ALCGENL announcement highlighting eligibility requirements, application procedures, and timelines. These messages will be published periodically on behalf of Programs between now and 31 Jul 2021. 6. Application Procedures: a. All SA positions require the member to submit the Standard Application located at Ref (C). Members should pay close attention to the requirements in the Standard Application as well as Program Information Sheets and the ALCGENL. b. Certain SA positions also require the member to submit a 'My Panel Submission' in Direct Access. Per the Program's ALCGENL, members are directed to only submit their name in this process. Command Endorsement and Memorandum shall be submitted as part of the Standard Application process. c. Incomplete and/or improperly formatted applications will be returned. Deadline extensions will not be granted to correct errors. d. Release from Rating: The Special Assignments AO will coordinate the release from rating process after the panels convening date. Applicants should not contact their AO requesting to be released. However, all members are encouraged to conduct career counseling with their rating AO, to include ideal timing on when to pursue a SA. 7. Electronic Information - Personnel Data Record (EI-PDR): Updated and accurate EI-PDRs are crucial to a members application and screening potential. All members are encouraged to begin the process of reviewing and updating their EI-PDR now. Detailed instructions are available in the Standard Application Package located at Ref (C). 8. Extensions and Retirements: a. Members desiring an extension should follow the guidance provided in their specific program's ALCGENL as well as notify their Commands to include their extension request in command concerns. b. Members asking for retirement from SA in AY22 should submit their request NLT 01 Aug 2021 to ensure backfill requirements can be met. 9. Commands: SA command concerns (for positions appearing on PAL as PO) are due NLT 01 Aug 2021. Please use the guidance located at Ref (D). 10. Tentative panel schedule can be found at Ref (E). 11. ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: October 2021 Electronics Engineering ECE-ECT Board Exams

ECE-ECT Room Assignments October 2021

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Electronics Engineering releases the list of room assignments for the October 2021 Electronics Engeering (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) Licensure Exam few days before the exams.

The October 2021 Electronics Engineering board exams will be conducted on October 24-26, 2021 at PRC testing centers located at NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The Board of Electronics Engineering is headed by its Chairman, Engr. Alnar L. Detalla and its members, Engr. Enrico Claro R. Delmoro and Engr. Herminio J. Orbe.

Room Assignments for October 2021 ECE-ECT Board Exams

Examinees are advised to verify the room assignments to the links below or through the notices and announcements to be posted at the PRC official website. Here is the list of room assignments for the October 2021 Electronics Engineering and Electronics Technician licensure exams.

Electronics Engineering (ECE)

• Metro Manila
• Metro Manila (Added to the list)
• Cagayan de Oro

Electronics Technician (ECT)

Examinees shall report before 6:00 in the morning on the said date because late comers will not be admitted.

What to bring on the day of exams?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) piece of metered-stamped window mailing envelope
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Any licensed Physician (government or private physician)
• Municipal Health Officer, Provincial Health Officer or City Health Officer
• Barangay Officer visiting the examinee’s residence attesting that he/she has been in quarantine for 14 days;
• Informed Consent Form and Health Declaration Form
• Face mask preferably N95 and Face Shield (to be worn at all times)
• 70% ethyl alcohol for regular hand disinfection
• Pre-packed meal/snacks and drinks

PRC said that examinees shall submit the Post Examination Health Surveillance Form to the concerned Regional Office 14 days after the conduct of exams.

What if I failed to take the exams?

In the event that the examinee failed to take the exams due to below reasons, examinee will be allowed to take on the next schedule subject to the following requirements:

• Health Related Reasons: The examinee must submit a letter to the commission or respective board with notarized Medical Certificate as attachment
• Travel Restriction Reasons: The examinee must submit a letter to the commission or respective board with Official letter or restriction from the concerned LGU

What to wear on examination day?

Here are the specified dress codes from PRC:

• For male examinees, white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks
• For female examinees, white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

Allowed and not allowed

• Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded information or formulas are not allowed.
• CASIO FX991ES and CASIO FX-991ES plus are not allowed pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01
• Apple, Samsung and other smart watches, cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes are prohibited.
• Bags of any kind are not allowed.

Board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic

The following precautionary health and safety guidelines shall be observed at all times during the conduct of the PRC licensure exams:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield. Examinees are also required to bring alcohol-based sanitizers.
• Examination personnel shall be provided with face mask, face shield and latex gloves.
• Observe physical distancing by maintaining 1-meter distance from one another.
• Body temperature will be checked using thermal scanner prior to entry at examination premises. Those with fever, colds or cough are not allowed to take the exams. Their payment will not be forfeited and can be used in the next licensure exam.
• Examinees are advised to bring their food as they will not be allowed to exit the examination room during break time and lunch time.
• Examinees shall sanitize before entering the examination room, after using the rest room and before distribution of test questionnaires.

PRC added that they will not be responsible of any lost personal belongings.

2021 Electronics Engineering Licensure Exam Schedule
