G-20 में हमारा मंत्र है- एक धरती, एक परिवार, एक भविष्य : पीएम मोदी

नमस्‍कार,

मेरे प्यारे देशवासियों और विश्‍व समुदाय के सभी परिवार जन, कुछ दिनों बाद, एक दिसंबर से भारत, जी-20 की अध्यक्षता करेगा। भारत के लिए ये एक ऐतिहासिक अवसर है। आज इसी संदर्भ में इस समिट की Website, Theme और Logo को लॉन्च किया गया है। मैं सभी देशवासियों को इस अवसर पर बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं।

जी-20 ऐसे देशों का समूह है जिनका आर्थिक सामर्थ्य विश्व की 85 प्रतिशत GDP का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। जी-20 उन twenty देशों का समूह है, जो विश्व के 75 प्रतिशत व्यापार का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। जी-20 उन 20 देशों का समूह है, जिसमें विश्व की दो-तिहाई जनसंख्या समाहित है। और भारत, अब इस जी-20 समूह का नेतृत्व करने जा रहा है, इसकी अध्यक्षता करने जा रहा है।

आप कल्पना कर सकते हैं कि आजादी के अमृतकाल में देश के सामने ये कितना बड़ा अवसर आया है। ये हर भारतवासी के लिए गर्व की बात है, उसका गौरव बढ़ाने वाली बात है। और मुझे खुशी है कि G-20 समिट को लेकर, भारत में होने जा रहे इससे जुड़े आयोजनों को लेकर, उत्सुकता और सक्रियता लगातार बढ़ रही है। आज जो ये Logo लॉन्च हुआ है, उसके निर्माण में भी देशवासियों की बड़ी भूमिका रही है। हमने Logo के लिए देशवासियों से उनके बहुमूल्य सुझाव मांगे थे। और मुझे जानकर बहुत अच्छा लगा कि सरकार को हजारों की संख्या में लोगों ने अपने क्रिएटिव Ideas भेजे। आज वो ideas, वो सुझाव इतने बड़े वैश्विक आयोजन का चेहरा बन रहे हैं। मैं इस प्रयास के लिए सभी का हृदय से अभिनंदन करता हूँ।

G-20 का ये Logo केवल एक प्रतीक चिन्ह नहीं है। ये एक संदेश है। ये एक भावना है, जो हमारी रगों में है। ये एक संकल्प है, जो हमारी सोच में शामिल रहा है। 'वसुधैव कुटुंबकम' के मंत्र के जरिए विश्व बंधुत्व की जिस भावना को हम जीते आए हैं, वो विचार इस Logo और Theme में प्रतिबिम्बित हो रहा है। इस Logo में कमल का फूल, भारत की पौराणिक धरोहर, हमारी आस्था, हमारी बौद्धिकता, को चित्रित कर रहा है।

हमारे यहां अद्वैत का चिंतन जीव मात्र के एकत्व का दर्शन रहा है। ये दर्शन, आज के वैश्विक द्वंदों और दुविधाओं के समाधान का माध्यम बने, इस Logo और Theme के जरिए, हमने ये संदेश दिया है। युद्ध से मुक्ति के लिए बुद्ध के जो संदेश हैं, हिंसा के प्रतिरोध में महात्मा गांधी के जो समाधान हैं, G-20 के जरिए भारत उनकी वैश्विक प्रतिष्ठा को नई ऊर्जा दे रहा है।

India's G20 presidency is coming at a time of crisis and chaos in the world. The world is going through the after-effects of a disruptive once-in-a-century pandemic, conflicts and a lot of economic uncertainty. The symbol of the lotus in the G20 logo is a representation of hope in these times. No matter how adverse the circumstances, the lotus still blooms. Even if the world is in a deep crisis, we can still progress and make the world a better place.

In Indian culture, both the Goddess of knowledge and prosperity are seated on a lotus. This is what the world needs most today: Shared knowledge that helps us overcome our circumstances, and shared prosperity that reaches the last person at the last mile.

This is why, in the G20 logo, the earth is placed on a lotus too. The seven petals of the lotus in the logo are also significant. They represent the seven continents. Seven is also the number of notes in the universal language of music. In music, when the seven notes come together, they create perfect harmony. But each note has its own uniqueness. Similarly, G20 aims to bring the world together in harmony while respecting diversity.

ये बात सही है कि दुनिया में जब भी G-20 जैसे बड़े platforms का कोई सम्मेलन होता है, तो उसके अपने diplomatic और geo-political मायने होते ही हैं। ये स्वाभाविक भी है। लेकिन भारत के लिए ये समिट केवल एक डिप्लोमैटिक मीटिंग नहीं है। भारत इसे अपने लिए एक नई ज़िम्मेदारी के रूप में देखता है। भारत इसे अपने प्रति दुनिया के विश्वास के रूप में देखता है। आज विश्व में भारत को जानने की, भारत को समझने की एक अभूतपूर्व जिज्ञासा है। आज भारत का नए आलोक में अध्ययन किया जा रहा है। हमारी वर्तमान की सफलताओं का आकलन किया जा रहा है। हमारे भविष्य को लेकर अभूतपूर्व आशाएँ प्रकट की जा रही हैं।

ऐसे में ये हम देशवासियों की ज़िम्मेदारी है कि हम इन आशाओं-अपेक्षाओं से कहीं ज्यादा बेहतर करके दिखाएं। ये हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी है कि हम भारत की सोच और सामर्थ्य से, भारत की संस्कृति और समाजशक्ति से विश्व को परिचित कराएं। ये हमारा दायित्व है कि हम अपनी हजारों वर्ष पुरानी संस्कृति की बौद्धिकता और उसमें समाहित आधुनिकता से विश्व का ज्ञानवर्धन करें।

जिस तरह हम सदियों और सहस्राब्दियों से 'जय-जगत' के विचार को जीते आए हैं, आज हमें उसे जीवंत कर आधुनिक विश्व के सामने प्रस्तुत करना होगा। हमें सबको जोड़ना होगा। सबको वैश्विक कर्तव्यों का बोध कराना होगा। विश्व के भविष्य में उनकी अपनी भागीदारी के लिए जागृत करना होगा, प्रेरित करना होगा।

आज जब भारत जी-20 की अध्यक्षता करने जा रहा है, तो ये आयोजन हमारे लिए 130 करोड़ भारतीयों की शक्ति और सामर्थ्य का प्रतिनिधित्‍व है। आज भारत इस मुकाम पर पहुंचा है। लेकिन, इसके पीछे हमारी हजारों वर्षों की बहुत बड़ी यात्रा जुड़ी है, अनंत अनुभव जुड़े हैं। हमने हजारों वर्षों का उत्कर्ष और वैभव भी देखा है। हमने विश्व के सबसे अंधकारमय दौर भी देखे हैं। हमने सदियों की गुलामी और अंधकार को जीने के लिए मजबूरी भरे दिन देखे हैं। कितने ही आक्रांताओं और अत्य़ाचारों का सामना करते हुए, भारत एक जीवंत इतिहास को समेटे हुए आज यहां तक पहुंचा है।

वो अनुभव आज भारत की विकास यात्रा में उसकी सबसे बड़ी ताकत हैं। आज़ादी के बाद हमने शून्य से शुरू करके, शिखर को लक्ष्य करके, एक बड़ी यात्रा शुरू की। इसमें पिछले 75 वर्षों में जितनी भी सरकारें रहीं, उन सभी के प्रयास शामिल हैं। सभी सरकारों और नागरिकों ने अपने-अपने तरीके से मिलकर भारत को आगे बढ़ाने का प्रयास किया है। हमें इसी स्पिरिट से आज एक नई ऊर्जा के साथ पूरी दुनिया को साथ लेकर आगे बढ़ना है।

भारत की हजारों वर्ष पुरानी संस्कृति ने हमें एक और बात सिखाई है। जब हम अपनी प्रगति के लिए प्रयास करते हैं, तो हम वैश्विक प्रगति की परिकल्पना भी करते हैं। आज भारत विश्व का इतना समृद्ध और सजीव लोकतन्त्र है। हमारे पास लोकतन्त्र के संस्कार भी हैं, और Mother of democracy के रूप में गौरवशाली परंपरा भी है। भारत के पास जितनी विशिष्टता है, उतनी ही विविधता भी है। ये democracy, ये diversity, ये indigenous अप्रोच, ये inclusive सोच, ये local lifestyle, ये global thoughts, आज वर्ल्ड इन्हीं ideas में अपनी सभी चुनौतियों के समाधान देख रहा है।

और, G-20 इसके लिए एक बड़े अवसर के रूप में काम आ सकता है। हम दुनिया को ये दिखा सकते हैं कि कैसे democracy जब एक व्यवस्था के साथ-साथ एक संस्कार और संस्कृति बन जाती है, तो conflicts का scope समाप्त हो जाता है।

हम दुनिया के हर मानव को आश्वस्त कर सकते हैं कि प्रगति और प्रकृति दोनों एक दूसरे के साथ चल सकते हैं। हमें sustainable development को केवल सरकारों के सिस्टम की जगह Individual Life का हिस्सा भी बनाना है, इसका विस्‍तार करना है। Environment हमारे लिए Global cause के साथ साथ Personal responsibility भी बनना चाहिए।

आज विश्व इलाज की जगह आरोग्य की तलाश कर रहा है। हमारा आयुर्वेद, हमारा योग, जिसे लेकर दुनिया में एक नया विश्वास और उत्साह है, हम उसके विस्तार के लिए एक वैश्विक व्यवस्था बना सकते हैं। अगले साल विश्व International Year of Millets मनाने जा रहा है, लेकिन हम तो सदियों से अनेकों मोटे अनाज को अपने घर की रसोई में जगह दिए हुए हैं।

कई क्षेत्रों में भारत की उपलब्धियां ऐसी हैं, जो विश्व के अन्य देशों के भी काम आ सकती हैं। उदाहरण के तौर पर, भारत ने डिजिटल technologies का उपयोग जिस तरह विकास के लिए किया है, Inclusion के लिए किया है, भ्रष्टाचार मिटाने के लिए किया है, Ease of doing business और Ease of living बढ़ाने के लिए किया है, ये सभी विकासशील देशों के लिए models हैं, templates हैं।

इसी तरह, आज भारत Women empowerment, उसमें बढ़ कर Women led development में प्रगति कर रहा है। हमारे जन धन accounts और मुद्रा जैसी योजनाओं ने महिलाओं के Financial Inclusion को सुनिश्चित किया है। ऐसे ही विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में हमारा अनुभव विश्व की बड़ी मदद कर सकता है। और जी-20 में भारत की अध्यक्षता, इन सब सफल अभियानों को विश्व तक ले जाने का एक अहम माध्यम बनकर आ रही है।

आज का विश्व सामूहिक नेतृत्व की तरफ बहुत आशा से देख रहा है। चाहे वो जी-7 हो, जी-77 हो या फिर UNGA हो। इस माहौल में, जी-20 के प्रेसिडेंट के तौर पर भारत की भूमिका बहुत अहम है। भारत एक ओर विकसित देशों से घनिष्ठ रिश्ते रखता है, और साथ ही विकासशील देशों के दृष्टिकोण को भी अच्छी तरह से समझता है, उसकी अभिव्यक्ति करता है। इसी आधार पर हम अपनी जी-20 अध्यक्षता की रूपरेखा 'ग्लोबल साउथ' के उन सभी मित्रों के साथ मिल कर बनाएंगे जो विकास के पथ पर दशकों से भारत के सहयात्री रहे हैं।

हमारा प्रयास रहेगा कि विश्व में कोई भी first world या third world न हो, बल्कि केवल one world हो। भारत, पूरे विश्व को एक common objective के लिए, एक बेहतर भविष्य के लिए, साथ लाने के विजन पर काम कर रहा है। भारत ने One Sun, One World, One Grid के मंत्र के साथ विश्व में Renewable Energy revolution का आह्वान किया है। भारत ने One Earth, One Health के मंत्र के साथ Global health को मजबूत करने का अभियान शुरू किया है। और अब जी-20 में भी हमारा मंत्र है- One Earth, One Family, One Future. भारत के यही विचार, यही संस्कार, विश्व कल्याण का मार्ग प्रशस्त करते हैं।

आज मेरा देश की सभी राज्य सरकारों, सभी राजनीतिक दलों से भी एक आग्रह है। ये आयोजन सिर्फ केंद्र सरकार का नहीं है। ये आयोजन हम भारतीयों का आयोजन है। G-20 हमारे लिए 'अतिथि देवो भव' की अपनी परंपरा के दर्शन करवाने का भी एक बड़ा अवसर है। ये जी-20 से जुड़े आयोजन केवल दिल्ली या कुछ एक जगहों तक ही सीमित नहीं रहेंगे। इसके तहत देश के कोने-कोने में कार्यक्रम होंगे। हमारे हर राज्य की अपनी विशेषताएँ हैं, अपनी विरासतें हैं। हर राज्य की अपनी संस्कृति है, अपना सौन्दर्य है, अपनी आभा है, अपना आतिथ्य है।

राजस्थान का आतिथ्य आमंत्रण है- पधारो म्हारे देस! गुजरात का प्यार भरा अभिनंदन है- तमारु स्वागत छे! यही प्यार केरला में मलयालम में दिखता है- एल्लावर्क्कुम् स्वागतम्! 'अतुल्य भारत का दिल' मध्य प्रदेश कहता है- आपका स्वागत है! पश्चिम बंगाल में मीठी बांग्ला में आपका स्वागत होता है- अपना के स्वागत ज़ानाई! तमिलनाडु, कदएगल मुडि-वदिल्ऐ, वो कहता है- थंगल वरव नल-वर-वाहुहअ!, यूपी का आग्रह होता है- यूपी नहीं देखा तो भारत नहीं देखा। हिमाचल प्रदेश तो A Destination for All Seasons and All Reasons यानि 'हर मौसम, हर वजह के लिए' हमें बुलाता है। उत्तराखंड तो 'Simply heaven' ही है। ये आतिथ्य, ये विविधता विश्व को विस्मित करती है। G-20 के जरिए हमें अपने इस प्यार को दुनिया तक पहुंचाना है।

अभी अगले हफ्ते मैं मुझे इंडोनेशिया जाना है। वहां पर विधिवत रूप से भारत को G-20 की अध्यक्षता दिए जाने की घोषणा होगी। मैं देश के सभी राज्यों से, सभी राज्य सरकारों से भी आग्रह करता हूं, वो इसमें अपने राज्य की भूमिका का ज्यादा से ज्यादा विस्तार करें। इस अवसर का अपने राज्‍य के लिए लाभ उठाएं। देश के सभी नागरिक, बुद्धिजीवी भी इस आयोजन का हिस्सा बनने के लिए आगे आएं। अभी लॉन्च हुई वेबसाइट पर आप सभी इसके लिए अपने सुझाव भेज सकते हैं, अपने विचार प्रकट कर सकते हैं।

विश्व कल्याण के लिए भारत कैसे अपनी भूमिका को बढ़ाए, इस दिशा में आपके सुझाव और भागीदारी G-20 जैसे आयोजन की सफलता को नई ऊंचाई देंगे। मुझे विश्वास है, ये आयोजन न केवल भारत के लिए यादगार रहेगा, बल्कि भविष्य भी विश्व के इतिहास में इसका आकलन एक महत्वपूर्ण अवसर के रूप में करेगा।

G20 Summit 2023 Live: G-20 के सदस्य देशों के राष्ट्राध्यक्ष और प्रतिनिधि भारत पहुंच चुके हैं और आज से जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन की शुरूआत होने जा रही है. राजधानी दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में एक साथ-एक मंच पर दुनिया के शक्तिशाली देता नजर आएंगे.

शेड्यूल के मुताबिक, सुबह 9.30 से नेताओं का भारत मंडपम में आना शुरू हो जाएगा. 9 और 10 सितंबर को दो दिन चलने वाले जी20 शिखर सम्मेलन की शुरूआत पीएम मोदी के भाषण के साथ होगी. पीएम मोदी आज (9 सितंबर) सुबह 10.15 उद्घाटन भाषण देंगे. पीएम मोदी के भाषण के बाद सुबह 10.30 से 1.30 बजे- बैठक का पहला सत्र ‘One earth’ शुरू होगा.

Excellencies,

I express my gratitude to all of you for accepting my invitation and joining this summit today. On behalf of 140 crore Indians, you all are heartily welcomed.

I remember the moment when my friend, the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, handed me the ceremonial gavel on November 16 last year. At that time, I had said that together we will make the G20 inclusive, ambitious, action-oriented and decisive. Over the past year, together we have realized that vision. Together we have taken G-20 to new heights.

Amidst a world fraught with distrust and challenges, it is mutual trust that binds us, connects us to each other.

In this one year, we have believed in "One Earth, One Family, One Future". And, we have shown unity and cooperation beyond controversies.

I can never forget that moment when all of us in Delhi unanimously welcomed the African Union to the G-20.

The message of inclusivity that G-20 has given to the whole world is unprecedented. v It is a matter of pride for India that Africa has got a voice during its Presidency.

In this one year, the whole world has also heard the echo of the Global South in G-20.

In the Voice of Global South Summit last week, about 130 countries have wholeheartedly appreciated the decisions taken at the New Delhi G-20 Summit.

The G-20 has emphasized the adoption of a human-centric approach while supporting innovation and digital technology. The G-20 has renewed faith in multilateralism.

Together we have given direction to multilateral development banks and global governance reforms.

And along with these, during the Presidency of India, G-20 has got the recognition of People's 20.

Crores of ordinary citizens of India joined G-20, and celebrated it as a festival.

When I had proposed this virtual summit, there was no forecast of what the global situation would be today. Recent months have brought forth new challenges. The insecurity and instability in the West Asia region, concerns us all. Our coming together today is a sign that we are sensitive to all these issues and stand together to resolve them.

We believe that terrorism is unacceptable to all of us.

The death of civilians, wherever they may be, is condemnable.

We welcome the news of the release of hostages today, and hope for the swift release of all hostages. Ensuring the timely and continuous delivery of humanitarian aid is imperative. It is also crucial to ensure that the conflict between Israel and Hamas, does not take on any kind of regional form.

The clouds of crises that we are witnessing today, as One Family, we possess the strength to work towards peace.

From the point of view of human welfare, we can strengthen our voice against terror and violence, and for humanity.

Today, India is prepared to walk together shoulder to shoulder, to meet the expectations of the world and of humanity.

The 21st century world will have to give top priority to the concerns of the Global South moving forward.

The countries of the Global South are going through many difficulties for which they are not responsible.

In this context, the need of the hour is to give our full support to the development agenda.

It is important that reforms are brought in the global economic and governance structures to make them bigger, better, effective, representative and future ready.

Ensuring timely and affordable assistance to countries in need. Implement the action plan adopted to accelerate the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Aspirational District Program stands as a notable example of progress in the SDGs at the local level in India. I invite the G-20 countries and the Global South to examine the Aspirational District Programme, and witness the transformative impact it has had on the lives of 25 crore people in India.

At the New Delhi Summit, a decision was made to establish a Digital Public Infrastructure Repository, and I am pleased to announce its completion. Over 50 DPIs from 16 countries have been incorporated into this repository. To facilitate the implementation of DPIs in Global South nations, I propose the creation of a Social Impact Fund. On India's behalf, I also announce an initial contribution of 25 million dollars to this fund and hope for your participation in this initiative.

In the era of Artificial Intelligence, there is a need to use technology in a responsible manner. There is growing concern about the negative use of A.I all over the world.

India firmly believes that we should work together on global regulation of A.I.

We have to move forward, understanding the seriousness of how dangerous DeepFake is, for society, for the individual.

We desire that A.I. should reach the people, and it must be safe for the society.

With this approach, the Global A.I. Partnership Summit is being hosted in India next month.

And I believe all of you will cooperate in this as well.

At the New Delhi Summit, I had talked about green credit regarding environmental protection.

You know that in India we have started it. Through the Global Biofuels Alliance launched in New Delhi, we are reducing carbon as well as promoting the development of alternative fuels.

The G-20 has recognized mission LiFE, i.e. Lifestyle for Environment, for a pro-planet approach; called for taking renewable energy three times by 2030; shown commitment towards clean hydrogen; recognized the need to take climate finance from billions to trillions.

In a few days, during the COP-28 which will be held in the UAE, concrete steps need to be taken on all these initiatives.

A new working group on women empowerment has also been formed.

In this context, I am very happy to share that India has taken a historic decision in the first session of its new Parliament House.

To strengthen women-led development, we have decided for 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state legislative assemblies.

भारत की अध्यक्षता में दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में G20 का शिखर सम्मेलन उपलब्धियों से परिपूर्ण रहा। देश के यशस्वी, ऊर्जावान एवं दूरदर्शी प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के कुशल नेतृत्व में इस सम्मेलन ने बुलंदियों का नया आसमान छुआ। भारत की कूटनीतिक सफलता का ही परिणाम है कि सभी सदस्य देशों द्वारा दिल्ली घोषणा पत्र को सर्वसम्मति से स्वीकार किया गया एवं विश्व की 85 प्रतिशत जीडीपी वाले अफ्रीकन यूनियन के G20 समूह में प्रवेश सहित ग्लोबल साउथ की आवश्यकताओं पर ध्यान देने पर सहमति बनी। पिछले कुछ वर्षों के घटनाक्रम एवं भविष्य की राह की दृष्टि और व्यापक मानवतावादी वैश्विक दृष्टिकोण के कारण इस घोषणापत्र की प्रासंगिकता बढ़ जाती है।

ध्यातव्य है कि पूर्व में रूस-यूक्रेन के विषय को लेकर इस घोषणा-पत्र को स्वीकार्यता मिलने में समस्या आ रही थी। इस गतिरोध को दूर करने हेतु भारत ने कूटनीति का परिचय देते हए घोषणा-पत्र के पैराग्राफ में ऐसे परिवर्तन किए जिससे इसे सहजता से स्वीकृति मिली। भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद एवं संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के प्रस्तावों पर अपने राष्ट्रीय रुख को दोहराते हुए इस बात पर विशेष बल दिया कि सभी देशों को संयुक्त राष्ट्र चार्टर के उद्देश्यों एवं सिद्धांतों के अनुरूप ही आगे बढ़ना चाहिए। साथ ही सभी को अन्य देशों की अखंडता एवं संप्रभुता या राजनीतिक स्वतंत्रता के विपरीत अधिग्रहण की धमकी या शक्ति के प्रयोग से बचना चाहिए। भारत ने स्पष्ट किया कि परमाणु हथियारों का उपयोग या उपयोग की धमकी देना भी कतई स्वीकार्य नहीं है।

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी कि ने दोहराया G20 की हमारी अध्यक्षता का संदेश है 'एक पृथ्वी, एक कुटुम्ब एवं एक साझा भविष्य’। अतः G20 घोषणा-पत्र सतत, सर्वसमावेशी, प्रकृति-केन्द्रित विकास के मॉडल पर आधारित है। इसमें विकास हेतु सतत हरित मार्ग की परिकल्पना की गई है। इसी के अंतर्गत भारत की पहल पर विश्व जैव ईंधन गठबंधन की शुरुआत भी हुई। शीर्ष नेताओं ने जलवायु मोर्चे सहित विश्व के समक्ष उपस्थित विभिन्न चुनौतियों से निपटने हेतु तत्काल पहल करने का आह्वान किया। निकट भविष्य में ग्लोबल वार्मिंग के विरुद्ध वैश्विक मुहिम के लिए व्यापक रणनीति जैसे इस हेतु वैश्विक नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षमता को तीन गुना करने आदि पर सहमति बनी है।

G20 Summit 2023 Highlights - In a big win for India's G20 Presidency, a consensus was reached and the Delhi Declaration has been adopted at the mega Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced today. The Prime Minister had earlier called for turning the "global trust deficit" into a relationship of trust as he welcomed world leaders to the G20 Summit in Delhi.

New Delhi, India – India is a country of 1.4 billion people. But the only face you see everywhere in the capital these days, after two days of hosting world leaders for the Group of 20 (G20) summit , is that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

You see him not only at the airport and at the grand venue that was recently constructed to host the summit, but on practically every road, every few feet. Sometimes, two car lengths, at most. It’s a one-man show.

Having spent many of my growing and working years in New Delhi, the changes in the city for this mega event stand out.

Schools and offices were shut for the summit, roads blocked for so-called VIP movement. Sometimes you had to wait 15 minutes to cross a street as police cars barricaded them.

Vendors, otherwise ubiquitous on Indian streets and selling everything from fruits and vegetables to clothes, shoes and household items, were missing the past few days. They need a daily income from their sales to survive – but clearly don’t figure in the Modi government’s agenda to push India as the voice of the long-suffering Global South.

On some streets, there aren’t even the stray dogs that are a staple of all neighbourhoods. They, too, were rounded up.

But if Modi was the hero of the diplomatic extravaganza, monkeys were the designated menace. Life-sized cut-outs of langurs have been put up to scare the monkeys that can run rampage in Central Delhi, which hosts most major embassies and hotels, and is close to the summit venue.

The relatively heavy rain cooled temperatures in the capital but the partly flooded roads also showed that you may spruce up the city but until you really fix the infrastructure, things are not really going to change.

It’s at the venue, however, that the deep stamp of Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – which will stand for national elections next year – was most visible.

The old exhibition halls at Pragati Maidan – which means “field of progress” in Hindi and previously hosted anything and everything from international trade fairs to book fairs and auto shows – have been replaced with a grand new convention centre called the Bharat Mandapam. It’s a Sanskrit name, where Bharat refers to India, while a mandapam is the front porch of a Hindu temple.

Just with that name, the exhibition ground moves away from its secular, humdrum past.

The grounds are supposed to be the biggest exhibition space in the country. And as the official information tells you, there are more seats than the Sydney Opera House. But it’s next to one of the busiest roads in the city and near the Supreme Court of India, so it’s not really easy to get that many people to visit in one go anyway.

Unless the government pulls out all the stops to do just that.

The cavernous, warehouse-like halls have barren grey walls, currently hidden behind large G20 billboards and video clips of the different cultural trips the delegates and their spouses have undertaken in the past year.

The billboards are covered with images of the lotus flower. That is India’s national flower but it is also the BJP’s election symbol. And it is everywhere. Even in the official logo of the G20.

The video clips playing on the walls tell a story too. They show glimpses of Hampi – a UNESCO World Heritage site which was also the capital of a 14th-century Hindu empire – of Khajuraho temples and of the Nathdwara temple dedicated to the Hindu god Krishna’s avatar.

What you don’t see in the videos is also telling. You don’t see the Jama Masjid, one of the most iconic sites in the capital. I didn’t spot any churches. The Taj Mahal, India’s most famous landmark and heritage site, built by the Mughal dynasty that is reviled by the rulers of today, gets only a photo on one of the walls. The Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of Sikhs in India, gets a tiny video clip.

The WiFi, good at the start, dropped during the first day as more users logged on and set up hotspots. The support staff was super prompt in trying to fix the wavering network, although not always successfully.

Then there was the language. In the media briefing ahead of the summit, and in Modi’s speeches, India was repeatedly described as the world’s largest democracy, the voice of the Global South. The theme of the summit was one earth, one family, one future.

But that jars with the reality we know on the ground where think tanks, academics and media groups are all being muzzled. Not to mention the numerous attacks on minority communities, including an attack on a mosque in Gurgaon, on the outskirts of the Indian capital, where an imam was killed last month.

It also belies the tough behind-the-scenes diplomacy where there were efforts to divide the room into the Global South and the rest of the world, people familiar with the matter told me. Not all developing nations fell in line with that line, though, even as the G7 members were berated on various accounts. Speaking of divisions, China and Russia, unsurprisingly, opposed the United States’s move to host the G20 in 2026.

Brazil, as next year’s host of the G20, will have its work cut out to iron out those creases .

I had a lot of time on hand to look at and think about the visuals on display. That’s because the Indian government, unlike past summits including the recent G7 in Japan, has not allowed anyone but the state media into the conference rooms where leaders speak.

The US White House press corps was furious about not being allowed into either the bilateral meetings – as is the norm for them – or summit talks. (Some members were also upset when they were not allowed to take their water bottles inside.)

All we got on the first morning of the summit was a few minutes of Modi’s opening speech. It was in such chaste Hindi (and the English translation didn’t come until an hour later) that no one really understood that the African Union had been admitted into the G20. A big moment, nevertheless.

As one member of my tribe said in absolute frustration: “Can anyone tell me why I’m here?”

Maybe for the food. The food was plentiful – vegetarian offerings from across the country although I’d have wanted some of the millets the country has been pushing instead of the deep-fried, and delicious, cocktail samosas and kachoris.

A first for me was the cans of water, which felt a bit odd seeing the whole idea at the summit of creating an environmentally sustainable life. And while the yam kebab was yummy, a mutton galouti kebab is a mutton galouti kebab – and it is unparalleled.

I cannot leave out the shopping. The crafts bazaar has stalls from different states selling wares as wide-ranging as coffee from Nagaland and beaded earrings from Arunachal Pradesh to temple saris from Tamil Nadu and stunning, and huge, Buddha statues.

There was something for every price point and with the shops shut for parts of the city because of the summit, I made sure I got my fix there.

Key Outcomes of the 2023 G20 Summit Held in India

The 18th G20 Summit of 2023 recently concluded in New Delhi, India, marking the first-ever G20 summit hosted by the country. The summit’s theme, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth, One Family, One Future” is rooted in ancient Sanskrit texts and the goal of sustainable development.

India was successfully able to achieve consensus around the New Delhi Declaration early on in the G20 Summit, which saw a dilution in the position taken by the U.S. and EU on Russia , besides focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals, climate action and green development initiatives, multilateral financing, digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), and international taxation, among others.

We discuss the key outcomes of the 2023 G20 Summit below.

Key outcomes of the G20 Summit 2023

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic coup: PM Modi views this summit as India’s diplomatic milestone, with its G20 presidency serving as a platform to amplify the Global South’s concerns. In a personal capacity, the G20 Summit’s outcomes are important for the Indian leader as he faces general elections next year.

At the Summit, India was able to leverage its economic significance to garner support from all G20 member nations for a Leaders’ Declaration recognizing the conflict in Ukraine without specifying any aggressor. Modi, who chaired the Summit, also advocated for reforming global institutions like the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to align with the changing world dynamics, which received backing from the United States.

The timing of the G20 Summit was also opportune, following India’s successful moon landing under the Chandrayaan-3 program .

G20 New Delhi Declaration: All 83 paragraphs of the 2023 G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration were unanimously approved, achieving a remarkable 100 percent consensus, even with China and Russia in agreement. Notably, this declaration stood out by containing no footnotes or Chair’s Summary, marking a historic moment.

Within these 83 paragraphs, multiple agreements pertaining to the Finance Track were embedded. Furthermore, it featured 8 paragraphs addressing the conflict in Ukraine and its subsequent economic implications. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted the achievements of the Indian G-20 Presidency, emphasizing a concrete strategy for strengthening multilateral development banks, a clear path for regulating cryptocurrencies, and the deployment of digital public infrastructure to enhance financial inclusion. She also underscored the importance of a faster debt relief plan for vulnerable nations.

Regarding climate change, the declaration stressed the urgency of mobilizing “US$5.8-5.9 trillion in the pre-2030 period for developing countries” and “US$4 trillion per year for clean energy technologies by 2030” to attain net-zero emissions by 2050. It called for a substantial increase in climate funding, transitioning from billions to trillions of dollars.

African Union accepted as part of the G20: Prior to this, the only African member of the G20 was South Africa. At the Delhi Summit of the G20, the African Union, which represents the 55 countries in the African continent, was given full membership, like how the EU is represented.

India has successfully positioned itself as a champion for developing and underdeveloped nations and seeks to align this with its ambitions for a permanent seat on the UNSC. New Delhi is actively seeking support from the African continent, which holds 55 crucial votes, in pursuit of this goal.

India also invited Nigeria, Egypt, and Mauritius as part of the ‘Guest Countries’ at the G20 summit.

Global leadership participating at the Delhi Summit of the G20: Azali Assoumani, the President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union, joined the gathering of leaders at the summit. Notable attendees included German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were conspicuously absent from the summit. Instead, China was represented by Premier Li Qiang, while Russia sent its Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

India – Middle East – Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC):  During the G20 Summit in New Delhi, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed among the governments of India, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, the European Union, the UAE, France, Germany, and Italy to establish the India – Middle East – Europe Economic Corridor. IMEC is envisioned as a network of transportation routes encompassing railways and sea lanes. Its primary objective is to promote economic development by fostering integration between Asia, the Arabian Gulf, and Europe.

While specific details are yet to be outlined, this project falls under the umbrella of the Partnership for Global Infrastructure Investment (PGII), an initiative led by Western nations to support infrastructure projects worldwide. The PGII aims to secure funding for critical infrastructure development, including roads, ports, bridges, and communication systems, with the overarching goal of enhancing global trade and cooperation.

While no leader explicitly mentioned China, it’s clear that the IMEC corridor hopes to become a viable alternative to China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has steadily established global connectivity linkages with the Chinese market through extensive shipping, rail, and road networks, since its conception 10 years ago.

Climate action:  Leaders at the G20 Summit did not reach a consensus on the phase-out of fossil fuels, despite a United Nations report categorizing this phase-out as “indispensable” for achieving net-zero emissions . The G20 nations collectively contribute to approximately 80 percent of global emissions. The inability to agree on this crucial issue casts a shadow over upcoming climate discussions set to commence in November in the oil-rich UAE.

Nevertheless, the G20 did endorse a goal to triple global renewable energy capacity and emphasized the necessity for emissions to peak before 2025. Additionally, the Declaration acknowledged that limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) necessitates a 43 percent reduction in greenhouse gases by 2030 compared to 2019 levels.

The G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration also featured commitments to mainstream Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE), implement sustainable energy transitions, provide sustainable finance, reaffirm the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), address plastic pollution, preserve the ocean-based economy, and more. Additionally, the summit witnessed the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance (GBA), a new organization aimed at promoting the development and adoption of sustainable biofuels, along with the establishment of relevant standards and certification.

Bilateral meetings on the sidelines

During the 2023 New Delhi G20 Summit, Prime Minister Modi engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders. He symbolically handed over the G20 presidential gavel to Brazilian President Lula, expressing confidence in India’s successor to promote global unity and prosperity. Modi also addressed issues of mutual interest with various leaders.

In one notable meeting, Modi raised India’s deep concerns regarding extremist elements in Canada supporting secessionism, inciting violence against Indian diplomats, and threatening the Indian community there. President Biden highlighted the partnership between India and the U.S., rooted in Mahatma Gandhi’s principle of trusteeship, shared between the two nations.

Russia praised the G20 Summit under India’s presidency as a “breakthrough,” highlighting its outcomes as a roadmap for addressing global challenges and showcasing the strength and importance of the Global South. PM Modi also discussed the enhancement of trade and infrastructure relations with Turkish President Erdogan.

Several world leaders at the G20 Summit congratulated Modi on the success of Chandrayaan-3. Japanese PM Kishida commended PM Modi for the “Mission LiFE” concept. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen advocated for the creation of a new global framework for addressing artificial intelligence risks, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding society and encouraging responsible AI investments.

Furthermore, G20 leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, paid their respects to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial, Rajghat.

What is the G20 and how does it work

The G20 originated in 1999 in response to the Asian financial crisis of 1997-98, initially serving as an informal platform for finance ministers and central bank governors from both developed and developing economies. In 2008, following the global financial crisis, the G20 expanded to include the heads of state of member countries. The G20 Presidency rotates annually under a troika system, involving the current, previous, and next host countries. In 2022, India took over the G20 Presidency from Indonesia, the preceding member of the troika. The presidency has now been passed to Brazil, the next troika country.

How the G20 works

The G20 operates through three main tracks: the Finance Track, the Sherpa Track, and Engagement Groups.

Finance Track : Led by finance ministers and central bank governors, this track convenes approximately four times a year. It addresses fiscal and monetary policy issues, including the global economy, infrastructure, financial regulation, financial inclusion, international financial architecture, and international taxation. Key working groups within this track cover topics, such as the Framework, International Financial Architecture, Infrastructure, Sustainable Finance, Financial Inclusion, Finance and Health, International Taxation, and Financial Sector Matters.

Sherpa Track: Established in 2008 when the G20 became a leaders’ summit, the Sherpa Track is comprised of representatives of heads of state. It focuses on socioeconomic concerns like agriculture, anti-corruption, climate change, the digital economy, education, employment, energy, environment, health, tourism, trade, and investment. Each representative in this track is referred to as a Sherpa, and there are 13 working groups covering areas, such as Agriculture, Anti-corruption, Culture, Development, Digital Economy, Disaster Risk Reduction, Education, Employment, Energy Transitions, Environment and Climate Sustainability, Health, Tourism, and Trade and Investment.

Engagement Groups: This unofficial track includes non-government participants and engagement groups that provide recommendations contributing to policy-making. The Engagement Groups consist of Business20, Civil20, Labour20, Parliament20, Science20, SAI20, Startup20, Think20, Urban20, Women20, and Youth20.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday gave his opening remarks at the G20 Leaders’ Summit at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and said India's G20 presidency had become a symbol of inclusion and togetherness within and outside the country. He called on world leaders to transform the global trust deficit into confidence in order to find new solutions to age-old challenges.

Here is the full text of PM Modi's remarks at the G20:

Your Highnesses, Excellencies, Namaskar!

Before starting the formal proceedings, on behalf of all of us, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the people affected by the earthquake that occurred in Morocco a moment ago. We pray that all the injured people get well soon. The entire world community is with Morocco in this difficult time, and we are ready to provide them with all possible assistance.

Your Highnesses, Excellencies,

As the President of the G20, India extends a warm welcome to all of you.

At the place where we are gathered today, just a few kilometres away from here, stands a pillar that is nearly two and a half thousand years old. Inscribed on this pillar in the Prakrit language are the words:

'àä¹àå‡àäµàä® àä²àå‹àä•àä¸àä¾ àä¹àä¿àääàä®àåàä–àå‡ àääàä¿, àä…àäå àä‡àäïàä® àäèàä¾àääàä¿àä¸àå àä¹àå‡àäµàä®'

‘The welfare and happiness of humanity should always be ensured.’ Two and a half thousand years ago, the land of India gave this message to the entire world.

Let us begin this G20 Summit by remembering this message.

The 21st century is a time that has the potential to give a new direction to the entire world. It's a time when years-old challenges demand new solutions from us. Therefore, we must move forward by fulfilling all our responsibilities with a human-centric approach.

After Covid-19, a huge crisis of lack of trust has come into the world. Conflict has deepened this trust deficit.

Just as we can overcome Covid, we can also overcome this crisis of mutual trust.

Today, as the President of the G20, India invites the entire world to come together and, first and foremost, transform this global trust deficit into global trust and confidence.

This is a time for all of us to walk together, and the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas' can become a guiding light for all of us.

Whether it is a turbulent global economy, or the North-South divide, or the distance between East and West, Management of food, fuel and fertiliser, Or dealing with terrorism and cybersecurity, Or ensuring health, energy and water security,

We must move towards concrete solutions for these challenges, not just for the present but also for future generations.

India's G20 presidency has become a symbol of inclusion, both within the country and beyond, representing the spirit of 'Sabka Saath'.

It has become a 'People's G20’. Millions of Indians have engaged with it.

Over 200 meetings have been held in more than 60 cities across the country.

It was in the spirit of 'Sabka Saath' that India proposed permanent membership for the African Union in the G20. I believe that we all agree on this proposal.

With your consent, before we proceed with further proceedings, I invite the Chairperson of the African Union to take their place as a permanent member of the G20. 2) G20 पर निबंध 300 शब्दों में – G20 Essay in Hindi

G20 दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं का समूह है जो वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था की दिशा और दशा तय करता है. G20 शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था के एजेंडे तैयार किए जाते हैं इसमें दुनिया की शीर्ष 19 अर्थव्यवस्था वाले देश और यूरोपीय संघ शामिल है

दुनिया भर का 85% कारोबार G20 सदस्य देशों में ही होता है. G20 को ग्रुप ऑफ ट्वेंटी भी कहा जाता है. यह यूरोपियन यूनियन एवं 19 देशों का एक अनौपचारिक समूह है

G20 शिखर सम्मेलन की शुरुआत दिसंबर 1999 में हुई थी इसकी शुरुआत जर्मनी की राजधानी बर्लिन से हुई थी. इसके बाद यह निश्चय हुआ कि साल में एक बार G20 देशों के नेताओं की बैठक की जाएगी

वहीं G20 में अर्जेंटीना, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्राजील, कनाडा, चीन, यूरोपियन यूनियन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, भारत, इंडोनेशिया, इटली, जापान, मेक्सिको, रूस, सऊदी अरब, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, दक्षिण कोरिया, तुर्की, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका शामिल है

इस साल भारत G20 देशों की अध्यक्षता के पद पर कार्यरथ है और “वसुधैव कुटुंबकम” इस साल की थीम चुनी गई है. सरकार के स्तर पर अगला G20 नेताओं का शिखर सम्मेलन 9 और 10 सितंबर 2023 को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जाएगा

भारत के सामने इसे लेकर कठिन चुनौतियां है. भारत के सामने G20 की प्राथमिकताओं में समावेशी न्याय, संगत और सतत विकास, महिला सशक्तिकरण, डिजिटल सार्वजनिक बुनियादी ढांचा, तकनीकी सक्षम विकास, जलवायु, वित्तपोषण, वैश्विक खाद्य सुरक्षा और ऊर्जा सुरक्षा आदि विषय शामिल है जिन पर विचार किया जाएगा

3) G20 पर निबंध 500 शब्दों में – G20 Par Nibandh

“G20 सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य हो साकार जब सारा विश्व हो जाए एकाकार”

G20 जिसे ग्रुप ऑफ ट्वेंटी कहा जाता है, 20 देशों का एक समूह है. सभी 20 देश वर्ष में एक बार इकट्ठा होते हैं और दुनियाभर के आर्थिक मुद्दों के साथ-साथ अन्य महत्त्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर भी चर्चा करते हैं

सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता करने वाला देश किसी विषय विशेष के प्रति सभी देशों के बीच आम सहमति बनाता है. G20 ने शुरुआत में बड़े पैमाने पर व्यापक आर्थिक मुद्दों पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया, लेकिन बाद में इसके एजेंडे का विस्तार किया गया

G20 सम्मेलन की शुरुआत

1997 में एशिया में वित्तीय संकट आने के बाद G20 की शुरुआत की गई थी. सर्वप्रथम G20 की बैठक के दौरान आर्थिक मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाती थी. लेकिन बाद में व्यापार, जलवायु परिवर्तन, सतत विकास, स्वास्थ्य, कृषि, ऊर्जा, पर्यावरण और भ्रष्टाचार जैसी वैश्विक समस्याओं को भी इसमें शामिल किया गया

G20 में 20 देश भारत, अर्जेंटीना, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्राजील, कनाडा, चीन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, इंडोनेशिया, इटली, जापान, कोरिया गणराज्य, मैक्सिको, रूस, सऊदी अरब, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, तुर्किये, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ शामिल हैं

G20 शिखर सम्मेलन का महत्व

G20 शिखर सम्मेलन वैश्विक तौर पर एक बहुत महत्त्वपूर्ण सम्मेलन है. यह विश्व के सामने आगामी भविष्य में आने वाली चुनौतियों का सामना करने हेतु अति आवश्यक है

इस सम्मेलन के दौरान सभी नेता वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था को प्रभावित करने वाले मुद्दों पर चर्चा करने के लिए एक साथ एक मंच पर इकट्ठे होते हैं. चर्चा के दौरान वे वैश्विक समस्याओं के कारण और निदान पर चर्चा करते हैं. मुद्दों पर चर्चा करने के साथ-साथ वह भविष्य में एक ही दिशा में मिलकर कार्य करने हेतु सहमत भी होते हैं

इस वर्ष 2023 में भारत, G20 शिखर सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता कर रहा है. दो दिवसीय इस सम्मेलन में विश्व के 20 धनी देश राजधानी दिल्ली पहुंचे हैं. एजेंडे में जलवायु परिवर्तन, ऋण, खाद्य सुरक्षा, स्थिरता और जियोपॉलिटिकल तनाव पर चर्चा शामिल की गई है. वहीं, भारत ने इस वर्ष के शिखर सम्मेलन की थीम ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ रखी है

G20 सम्मेलन बेहद प्रासंगिक और महत्वपूर्ण सम्मेलन है. यह वैश्विक समस्याओं का समाधान और निदान खोजने हेतु सभी राष्ट्रों को एक साथ एक मंच पर लेकर आता है और मुझे भारतीय होने पर गर्व है कि इस वर्ष मेरे देश भारत ने विश्व में G20 के माध्यम से अपना परचम लहराया

G20 को ग्रुप ऑफ ट्वेंटी कहा जाता है. यह यूरोपियन यूनियन एवं 19 देशों का एक अनौपचारिक समूह है. G20 शिखर सम्मेलन में सभी नेता हर साल जुटते हैं और वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था को कैसे आगे बढ़ाया जाय इस विषय पर चर्चा करते हैं. इसका गठन 1999 में हुआ था

G20 के सदस्य

ग्रुप ऑफ ट्वेंटी (G20) में 19 देश (अर्जेंटीना, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्राजील, कनाडा, चीन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, भारत, इंडोनेशिया, इटली, जापान, कोरिया गणराज्य, मैक्सिको, रूस, सऊदी अरब, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, तुर्कि यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका) तथा यूरोपीय देश शामिल हैं. सदस्य देशों में वैश्विक सकल घरेलू उत्पाद लगभग 85%, वैश्विक व्यापार का 75% से अधिक और विश्व की लगभग दो-तिहाई आबादी है

इस साल G20 की थीम

भारत ने वैश्विक मुद्दों को मध्य नजर रखते हुए और अपनी संस्कृति को बरकरार बनाते हुए इस साल G20 की Theme “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम” रखी है जिसका मतलब है “एक पृथ्वी, एक कुटुंब, एक भविष्य”

G20 का उद्देश्य

G20 के प्रमुख उद्देश्य व्यापार, स्वास्थ्य, जलवायु और अन्य मुद्दों पर वैश्विक नीति के समन्वय के लिए नियमित रूप से मिलना, चर्चा करना तथा उसमें सुधार करना या निपटना है. पिछले शिखर सम्मेलनों ने भी Covid-19 महामारी, 2008 के वित्तीय संकट, ईरानी परमाणु कार्यक्रम और सीरियाई गृह युद्ध को भी संबोधित किया है

G20 के कार्य

G20 अपने सदस्यों के अंतरराष्ट्रीय आर्थिक सहयोग और निर्णय करने के लिए प्रमुख मंच है. G20 के नेता वर्ष में एक बार बैठक करते हैं इसके अलावा वर्ष के दौरान देश के वित्त मंत्री और केन्द्रीय बैंक के गवर्नर वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था को मजबूत बनाने, अंतरराष्ट्रीय वित्तीय संस्थानों में सुधार लाने, वित्तीय नियमन में सुधार लाने और प्रत्येक सदस्य देश में जरूरी प्रमुख आर्थिक सुधारो पर चर्चा करने के लिए नियमित रूप से बैठक करते हैं
