सामाजिक विज्ञान मानव के सामाजिक, आर्थिक, राजनीतिक और ऐतिहासिक गतिविधियों का अध्ययन है. यह मानव के अधिकारों और कर्तव्यों को इंगित करता है. मानव विकास के लिए सामाजिक विज्ञान का अध्ययन बहुत ही आवश्यक है. क्योंकि इस विषय के अध्ययन से उत्कृष्ट मानव समाज की रचना की जा सकती है.

आज के इस सत्र में हम class 10th में शामिल Social Science अर्थात् सामाजिक विज्ञान विषय की चर्चा करने जा रहे हैं. इस Session में आप जान पायेंगे-

• सामाजिक विज्ञान का अर्थ • हमारे जीवन में सामाजिक विज्ञान का महत्व • वर्ग दशम् में सामाजिक विज्ञान में शामिल विषय और • सामाजिक विज्ञान विषय में अंकों का बंटवारा

सामाजिक विज्ञान का अर्थ

यदि आसान भाषा में कहें तो ” जिस विषय के अंतर्गत मानव के सामाजिक, आर्थिक, राजनीतिक एवं ऐतिहासिक गतिविधियों का अध्ययन किया जाता है. उसे सामाजिक विज्ञान कहा जाता है” . इसके अंतर्गत पुरातात्विक खोजों, सामाजिक रीति-रिवाजों, जाति-धर्म, चुनाव प्रणालियों, यातायात, कृषि, खनन इत्यादि विविध प्रकार के कार्यों को सम्मिलित किया जाता है.

सामाजिक विज्ञान का महत्व

इस विषय का अध्ययन कर आत्मसात करने से व्यक्ति को समाज में रहने की समझ विकसित होती है. एक मानव का दूसरे मानव के प्रति, मानव का पशु-पक्षियों तथा मानव का पर्यावरण के प्रति सामाजिक कार्यों और दायित्वों की समझ विकसित होती है. इससे विकसित समाज का निर्माण होता है.

सामाजिक विज्ञान के अंतर्गत आने वाले विषय

विज्ञान, गणित आदि के जैसा ही सामाजिक विज्ञान विषय का भी महत्व है. क्लास 10th की बात करें तो सामाजिक विज्ञान के अंतर्गत चार विषयों को सम्मिलित किया गया है.

1• इतिहास 2• भूगोल 3• नागरिक शास्त्र 4• अर्थशास्त्र

बीती हुई घटनाओं को इतिहास कहा जाता है. जैसे:- आज से मानव की रीति-रिवाज, सभ्यता-संस्कृति कैसी थी, समय के साथ इसमें क्या बदलाव आया, पुरातात्विक स्थलों से प्राचीन मानवीय सभ्यता को जानने समझने में मदद मिलती है. इतिहास हमें बीती हुई घटनाओं से सबक भी सिखाता है कि वर्तमान समय में क्या करना उचित होगा और क्या अनुचित.

यूनान के प्रसिद्ध इतिहासकार और भूगोलवेत्ता हेरोडोटस (Herodotos) को इतिहास का पिता (Father of History) कहा जाता है.

Class 10th. इतिहास विषय में निम्न टाॅपिक शामिल हैं

1• यूरोप में राष्ट्रवाद का उदय 2• भारत में राष्ट्रवाद का उदय 3• भूमंडलीय विश्व का बनना 4• औद्योगिकरण का युग 5• मुद्रण संस्कृति और आधुनिक दुनिया

भूगोल शब्द अपने आप में एक व्यापक है. भूगोल दो शब्दों के मेल से बना है. भू+गोल जिसमें भू का अर्थ धरती होता है. इस तरह भूगोल का अर्थ गोल धरती अर्थात पृथ्वी हुआ. इस प्रकार कह सकते हैं कि पृथ्वी का अध्ययन ही भूगोल है.

भूगोल के अंतर्गत पृथ्वी के बाह्य स्वरूप और उसके प्राकृतिक विभागों जैसे:- पर्वत, पठार, देश-महादेश, नदी, झील, समुद्र वन, पशु-पक्षियों इत्यादि का अध्ययन  किया जाता है. भूगोल को विज्ञान भी कहा जाता है. क्योंकि यह किसी भी वस्तु को सिद्ध करता है:-

• कि यदि वर्षा हो रही है तो क्यों हो रही है, • यदि कहीं मरुस्थल है तो क्यों है, • हवा चल रही है तो क्यों चल रही है इत्यादि.

भूगोल के क्रमबद्ध वर्णन के कारण ही हिकेटियस (Hecataeus) को भूगोल का पिता (Father of Geography) कहते हैं.

Class 10th भूगोल में निम्न टाॅपिक शामिल हैं.

1• संसाधन एवं विकास 2• वन एवं वन्य जीव संसाधन 3• जल संसाधन 4• कृषि 5• खनिज तथा ऊर्जा संसाधन 6• विनिर्माण उद्योग 7• राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था की जीवन रेखाएं

नागरिक शास्त्र (लोकतांत्रिक राजनीति-2)

यह एक ऐसा विषय है जिसमें मानव के राजनीति और सामाजिक कर्तव्यों और दायित्वों का अध्ययन किया जाता है. समाज में व्याप्त जाति, धर्म, संगठन, चुनाव प्रणाली आदि का कार्य इसी विषय क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत आता है.

यूनानी विद्वान अरस्तु को राजनीतिक शास्त्र शास्त्र का जनक (Father of Political Science)कहा जात है.

Class 10th. में नागरिक शास्त्र में टाॅपिक निम्न है:-

1• सत्ता की साझेदारी 2• संघवाद 3• लोकतंत्र और विविधता 4• जाति धर्म और लैंगिक मसले 5• जनसंघर्ष और आंदोलन 6• राजनीतिक दल 7• लोकतंत्र के परिणाम 8• लोकतंत्र की चुनौतियां

अर्थशास्त्र

सामाजिक विज्ञान में चौथी और महत्वपूर्ण विषय अर्थशास्त्र है. अर्थशास्त्र वह विषय है जिसके अंतर्गत आर्थिक क्रियाओं का अध्ययन किया जाता है. जैसे:- लोगों द्वारा कृषि अथवा औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों के उत्पादन में भाग लेना, उत्पादित वस्तुओं का परिवहन एवं बिक्री, सरकार की योजनाओं का क्रियान्वयन इत्यादि.

ब्रिटिश विद्वान एडम स्मिथ को अर्थशास्त्र का पिता (Father of Economics) कहा जाता है.

सामाजिक विज्ञान विषय में अंकों का बंटवारा

सामाजिक विज्ञान विषय में 100 अंकों की परीक्षा होती है. इसमें 80 अंकों के लिए लिखित परीक्षा और 20 अंकों के लिए प्रायोगिक परीक्षा होती है. ये प्रायोगिक परीक्षा (Practical) विद्यालय स्तर पर ली जाती है.

80 अंकों का बंटवारा सामाजिक विज्ञान के चारों विषयों में समान रूप से किया गया है.

1• इतिहास  20 अंक 2• भूगोल   20 अंक 3• नागरिक शास्त्र (लोकतांत्रिक राजनीति-2)  20अंक 4• अर्थशास्त्र   20 अंक ———————————            कुल    80 अंक

शेष 20 अंक विद्यालय से दिए जाते हैं. ये विद्यालय का आंतरिक मूल्यांकन होता है. यह 20 अंक विद्यालय में स्टूडेंटस् के उपस्थिति, अनुशासन, विद्यालय स्तर पर ली जाने वाली परीक्षाओं में प्राप्त अंकों तथा प्रायोगिक कॉपी (Practical Copy) से संबंधित होता है. जो स्टूडेंट्स जितना अच्छा प्रदर्शन करता है उसे उतना ही अच्छा नंबर मिलता है.
