Raised by his single/mother and grandmother, 34-year-old Boma grew up on the streets of Yaba in Lagos. He describes his childhood as “extremely tough”, having had to pay his way through school. One of the hardest decisions he had to make was to drop out in his final year, as he couldn’t make ends meet, but his life’s high point came when he saved enough money to pay for film school, an achievement that was subsequently eclipsed by his graduation.

Medical doctor Yerins describes himself as “a perfectionist, creative genius, lover of art and poetic rap music”. He sees himself as a renaissance man who isn’t confined to one profession or career.

The 27-year-old enjoys drawing, playing chess, listening to music, and making it too. He also has plans to write a medical book in the near future. Peace is a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Port Harcourt. Her burning passion for fashion and style inspired her to open her very own clothing store that continues to keep her busy.

She describes herself as “a fun, sociable, daring team player” and believes her multicultural background makes her relatable. Although she is always on the go, Peace is not afraid to power down and refuel her social gas by spending time with her family when the opportunity presents itself.

Multi-faceted Arin is a 29-year-old feminist, millennial Pisces who was raised in a polygamous home in Lagos. She is a fashion designer and an independent arts and culture curator dedicated to promoting the contemporary visual arts in Africa.

Here comes one the most anticipated edition of the big brother Naija (season 6) as tagged “Shine Ya Eye”. The 2021 Big brother Naija edition comes with lots of surprises with 22 housemates to compete for the grand prize of 90 million naira which also include other loads of exciting prizes to be won.

It kicked off on Saturday, July 24, 2021 as the host Ebuka unveiled the first sets of housemates which were only the male housemates and on Sunday witnessed the unveiling of the female housemates.

Below are the Names of the Housemates alongside their short biography including age and state of origin.

Boma is a Nigerian actor, model and TV host. He was born and raised in Yaba area of Lagos. He is from the South South. He also has a production company.

Saga whose real name is Pelumi Okusaga is a 28 year old media personality from Lagos State.

He is an engineer and a fitness coach.

Yousef with the real name as Yousuf Garba is a 29 year old model and media influencer. He is from Jos, Plateau State. He is a teacher at the Junior level where he teaches basic education.

Perez Egbi is an actor, singer and entrepreneur born on June 27, 1985. He was born and raised in Warri, Delta State and also lives in Houston, Texas, USA.

The reality TV show prides itself on its unpredictability and as such, this season started with a twist. Instead of the regular launch premiere of the show, Bbnaija Shine ya eyes started off by first introducing only the male housemates for the first day of the launch. Boma from the South-South of Nigeria is a melting pot of different things. A model, masseuse, and actor who featured on TV Shows like Blacklist and Law order, was the first housemate to enter into the Bbnaija season 6 house. He says he grew up under very harsh economic and social conditions in Yaba, Lagos state.

Raised by a single mother and grandmother, had to work to pay his way through school and sadly had to drop out in his final year. Started off as a model in 2003 and also walked the runway of Nigerian fashion week as the youngest model to do so in 2004. Boma proceeded to Europe where he started off as a footballer but couldn’t proceed in his soccer dreams due to an injury. Then he moved to New York where he became a bartender. Working as a masseuse by day and a bartender at night as he paid his way through film school and finally graduated. Boma struggles with depression and considers his marital failure one of the lowest points of his life.

Yousef is a biracial Nigerian who is the third Housemate to enter into the Bbnaija season 6. As one of the Big Brother 2021 Housemates, Yousef says he is bringing fun as he goes after the money. His lowest point was losing his beloved aunt. However he considers emerging the Jos Carnival King and Mr Unijos as the high points of his life. He is a go getter and feels like a winner already.

Yerins, a medical doctor is one of the Big Brother Naija 2021 Housemates, who sees himself “a perfectionist, creative genius, lover of art and poetic rap music”; as well as a renaissance man who isn’t confined to a single career or profession. He loves to play chess, listen to music and draw. One of the goals of this polymath is to write a medical book in the nearest future. The fun-loving, creative and curious introverted young man attributes his expert knowledge in many fields to his curiosity. He is knowledgeable in modeling, digital animation and fashion design.

The eight housemate to enter the Big Brother season 6 house is actor and musician, Jaypaul who believes the Big Brother Naija House will be the perfect opportunity boost his already budding career in the Nigerian entertainment industry. He describes himself “confident, entertaining, playful, honest and friendly”.

Making movies, music, dancing and cooking are the hobbies of Jaypaul who maintains he complains a lot.  He loves to cook, eat, sleep and when he loves he loves real hard. The tenth person to get into the Big Brother Naija shine ya eye is a final year student of Guidance and Counseling Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Sammie is also an amateur filmmaker who  enjoys storytelling, videography, eating, basketball and hanging out. The “tall, handsome and charismatic” student admits he talks too much sometimes and may end up gossiping. He also enjoys the “great dialogue” he gets in his day-to-day conversations with others. Meeting new people is one of his favorite things to do and believes he has a bright future in filmmaking.

Sammie produced his very first short film in 2020, he admits he didn’t bring any strategy to the show and will just be himself in the Big Brother House. He has plans to grow his YouTube series and pushing his career to the next level.

He wants women to fight over him in the house. Cross is adventurous and if he is not watching movies, clubbing, or traveling; he will be playing drums or being a hype man on the mic on an Amapiano or House track.

The Female Big Brother Naija 2021  Housemates  were introduced on the second Launch Day

This year, the Big Brother Naija show had two launch dates. As we Previously, only the male housemates were brought into the Big Brother Naija House on the 24th July 2021 on the first launch date.  But on Sunday, the 25th July 2021, which was the second launch date and was called the “Ladies Night” 11 Female housemates were welcomed into the house. Here is a list of all 11 of them.

She also loves to sleep and watch movies. This 21-year old says she has 11 tattoos and will not change herself for anybody. Angel thinks she is a likable, fun and easy-going person who enjoys storytelling. Angel loves to dance in the club and write poetry on the beach.

A proud feminist who is described as a drama Queen by her friends likes to meet new people and then analyze them. For Angel being on Big Brother Naija will help her kick-start her journey in cinematography and writing as she also believes she is “beautiful and also funny when I’m not under pressure”.

She loves singing, reading, cooking, writing and also takes pride in her talents as an actor, dancer, and fashion entrepreneur.

Liquorose used to be a video vixen, but her passion for dancing led her to be the leader of a professional girl dance group. She always makes time to travel despite working hard to cater to her family.

5 White Money

White Money says he loves fun, he loves to entertain people. He doesn't like dishonest people and people who would do anything to bring people down.

The businessman says he is the reason the old and young people will be watching this season. He says he would be bringing fun to the house and he is the show for the vibes.

Niyi is a 34-year-old guy who is spontaneous and the life of the party. He won't be found anywhere around gossip in the house. The happily married father of one says he will be bringing so much fun to the house.

The 6'6 tall former basketballer says he quit the game after an injury. Niyi who runs a fantasy sports and event planning business says he is in the show to have fun.

Yerins is a 27-year-old medical doctor from Bayelsa state who likes to be described as a generalist. He doesn't like deceptive people. He is bringing love, drama and every other thing to the house. Even though he is sometimes seen as an introvert, he doesn't see himself as one.

He is from Cross River state and would describe himself as a social butterfly. He says he is the jack of all trades. He says a lot of people describe him as a playboy.

He doesn't take life too seriously and will be entertaining viewers from the beginning to the end of the show (Let's hope he makes it to the end.)

Emmanuel is a 24-year-old model and pageant King. He loves driving fast cars, reading and shopping. He says he is very dramatic. He can be described as a hustler. He says he is single and the ladies should keep their fingers crossed.

Arin is a 29-year-old fashion designer. She's a gym rat and describes her face as an 'ashawo face'...what!!! She loves to read and won't back out of any challenge in the house. Arin has got 17 piercings on her body.

Maria is from Imo state. She sells properties in Dubai. The 29 years old says she is a very nice person. She hopes to be a loving person in the house. She dislikes untidy and dirty people. She also cannot fantom the idea of being broke.

18 Liquorose

She's from Edo state. The dancer says she doesn't entertain negative energy. Liquorose says she's a drama queen and will be bringing the total package which includes drama to the house.

19 Beatrice

Beatrice is a Marketing graduate from the University of Portharcourt. The model hopes the show paves a way for her business. She loves to dance. Beatrice is not a fan liars. She has a big heart. She's coming to the show with laughter, fun, energy and a little bit of tears.

20 Princess

Princess is a 30-year old taxi driver. She loves to cook and drive. She is going to be taking everyone on a drive. She describes herself as a very emotional person. Princess says she has a crush on the former senate president of Nigeria, Bukola Saraki.

She is from Adamawa state. The 21-year old model says she loves food and hates loud people. Saskay says she is a very emotional person. The artist says she'll be keeping fans glued to their TV screens.

Liquorose (Roseline Omokhoa Afije) is 26-year-old contestant on the Big Brother Naija (or BBNaija) Season 6 reality show. The show kicked off on 24 July 2021, but it was not until 25 July that viewers laid eyes on Rose and the other female housemates. The organisers, in an attempt to spice things up, chose to unveil the male housemates only, on the first day.

Liquorose was born Roseline Omokhoa Afije on 31 March 1995 in Nigeria, and she turned 26 years old in 2021. She is currently based in Lagos State, but she is an indigene of Bini, Edo State. Career wise, Rose Afije says that she wants to make a name for herself as an A-list actress and a writer. Before dance took over her Instagram page, Liquorose used to write and post poetry and think pieces.
