The main plot of the series centers around a group of players who become trapped in the game and are unable to log out. They are forced to complete all 100 floors of a tower within the game before being let out. We follow the journey of Kirito who meets many awesome characters on his journey. Asuna is a beautiful young woman with long, flowing orange hair. She is kind and caring, but can also be fiercely determined when it comes to protecting those she loves.

Asuna’s motivations include finding a way to escape the virtual world and saving her fellow players from the deadly game. She’s deeply in love with Kirito and the two continue their romance outside the game as well.

Heathcliff is the leader of the Knights of the Blood Oath, the strongest guild in Sword Art Online. He is a powerful warrior, with great strength and skill in swordplay. He is always level-headed in battle, which might be attributed to the fact that he is immortal.

As the series goes, it is revealed that Heathcliff is actually Kayaba Akihiko, a person responsible for the creation of Aincrad. Many players regarded him as the strongest player in the game all the way until the end when he was defeated by Kirito.

Klein has been a part of the anime since episode 1. After Kirito showed him the basics, Klein teamed up with his friends. They eventually ended up being one of the top guilds in the game.

Klein is goofy, emotional, and shy around girls. He gets easily fired up when his friends are in danger. He is also extremely loyal to the ones closest to him.

Agil is a blacksmith in the game and is known for his great strength. Agil is also a close friend of Kirito and Asuna. He was a part of the front lines before opening a shop.

Many thought that Agil just scared about money, but in fact he gave away almost all of his earnings. He gave away countless items to mid-level players to help them join the front lines and help others. After the game ended he returned to his original job as a cafe owner.

Lisbeth, or shorter Liz, is the blacksmith and one of the most badass characters. She’s small with short pink hair, but don’t let her appearance fool you – she’s tougher than anyone else around. Lisbeth is an expert blacksmith, able to get the job done no matter how difficult it may be. She’s also fiercely independent and loyal, always there to help out her friends.

Yui is one of the most beloved characters in Sword Art Online. She’s sweet, caring, and always puts others before herself. Yui is a small, childlike avatar with short blonde hair and big blue eyes. Akihiko Kayaba, who wants to govern his own small world, has thousands of people confined in SAO. “The First Episode” features his announcement of it. A lot is at stake for Kirito and his fellow SAO players, from red players attacking and killing other players to the possibility of dying in a boss dungeon. If you want to survive, you’ll have to battle for your life. In the two seasons of Sword Art Online, there are four different plot lines. There are two arcs in the first season: Aincrad and Fairy Dance. The Phantom Bullet Arc and the Alicization Arc can be seen in Season 2.

Until mid-season one, Kirito is in the Aincrad Arc. In the season’s second-to-last episode, it’s still going on. The Phantom Bullet Arc kicks off season two. Kirito and Sinon meet here in Gun Gale Online (A.K.A: GGO). Death Gun, a two-person tag team that kills players, is the antagonist. In order to kill a player, one person shoots the target in-game while another breaks into the victim’s home and injects them with a lethal serum that kills them instantly. Sinon is one of the targets they are pursuing.

It takes a while for Kirito and Sinon to develop a close friendship. Kirito saves Sinon from near death at the end of this Arc. In both games and real life, through defeating opponents. There are two main parts to Season 2, the Alicization Arc and the Alicization Arc. There are three main characters in this arc: Asuna, Yuuki, and the Sleeping Knights.

To remember everyone in ALO, Asuna helps Yuuki and the Sleeping Knights complete a final task. The condition of Yuuki, who is nearing death, deteriorates, and he dies in the arms of Asuna in ALO. When Yuuki’s burial occurs a week later, Simone shows up. Hematologically, she had recovered completely from leukemia. Season 2 has come to a close with this last episode. A new VRMMO industry is born when Kirito releases the Seed on the internet. It is his ambition to reach the 100th floor and defeat the ultimate boss in Alfheim Online, just as it was meant in “Sword Art Online.”

Virtual reality has become the new must-have accessory for gamers everywhere in the year 2022. More than a simple headset that places a virtual world in front of your eyes, this is a technology that can build an entirely new universe through your sight, hearing, taste, and smell.

Kazuto Kirigaya, 14, is a loner with a penchant for virtual reality role-playing games. A new VR headset called NerveGear with FullDive technology is being used by SAO.

Kazuto (under his online alias Kirito) is one of the 10,000 gamers who will be able to join Sword Art Online on its opening day if they purchase the limited edition.

The creator of the game and Nerve Gear Akihiko Kayaba unveiled that he has basically trapped every gamer and the only way to leave this game is by winning all 100 levels in the game. In the 100th level, in the Aincrad Castle, they would have to defeat the “Tower's Final Boss” (nearly impossible) which was the only way to win! BUT, if any player dies in the game then he or she would also die in the real world (as Kayaba could control their bodies!).

The Sci-Fi anime, Sword Art Online, based on the Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by Abec, has become quite popular in the past decade. SAO's story is set in the future and focuses on the protagonist "Kirito" Kirigaya Kazuto and Asuna Yuuki as they play through various virtual reality MMORPG worlds.

The two players are eventually trapped in the virtual world of "Sword Art Online," where they are tasked with clearing all 100 Floors and defeating the final boss to be freed from the game. Sword Art Online's futuristic story is remarkably unique for the anime genre, especially with the twists and turns we witness throughout the series.

Fans looking to watch Sword Art Online can check it out on Crunchyroll , Funimation , Hulu , and Netflix . All four platforms feature the series in the English subbed and dubbed versions. The two Sword Art Online films (Extra Edition and Ordinal Scale) are also available on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Funimation only features the Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale film on its platform.

A Quest ( クエスト , Kuesuto ? ) is an Non-Player Character (NPC)-initiated event that typically leads to a reward after fulfilling a series of set conditions. Certain quests are given via a bulletin board, instead of an NPC. [1] [2]

Quest Types [ ]

In general, quests in Sword Art Online can be broadly categorised into four types: Collection, Elimination, Escort, and Errand quests. Collection ( 収集系 , Shūshū-kei ? ) type quests primarily require players to gather materials in the Outer Field. Elimination ( 討伐系 , Toubatsu-kei ? ) type quests involve defeating specific monsters. Escort ( 護衛系 , Goei-kei ? ) type quests necessitate escorting an NPC to a specified area, guarding them along the way. The final Errand ( お使い系 , Otsukai-kei ? ) type is a miscellaneous class of quests with abundance of variations. Most of these types of quests involve delivering or retrieving specific items. On the other hand, the Errand classification also includes Search Quests ( 捜索クエスト , Sousaku Kuesuto ? ) and Investigation Quests ( 調査クエスト , Chousa Kuesuto ? ) , some of which can be so elaborate that they even lead from a simple search to a Floor Boss fight. [3]

Initiation and Progress [ ]

Initiation of an NPC-given quest begins by interacting with NPCs that have a gold «!» symbol above them. Usually, a phrase like "Is something troubling you?" is used to accept a quest from an NPC, though this is not the only possible variant and it's not applicable to all quests. [4] Certain quests might also require certain conditions to be met, like accepting an offer for a cup of water, before the quest can be accepted. [4] After a quest is initiated, the respective NPC's gold «!» will change into a «?», denoting a quest in progress; however, the quest will not progress unless the quest giver's entire speech, which tends to be rather long during certain quests, is heard. [5] [4] Certain quests have side-objectives that need to be completed before the final objective becomes available. All currently available objectives are displayed as golden «!» on the map, [6] while the final objective that is currently unavailable is displayed as a grey «!» on the map. [7] Once a quest is accepted, the quest appears in the player's quest log with information on the current progress of the quest.

Repeatability [ ]

In Sword Art Online , most quests can be completed repeatedly. However, most such quests have a "cooldown time" after the quest is completed before it becomes available again. Certain quests, usually the ones offering high-value rewards, can only be completed once. [5]

In some quests, instance maps would be generated, so that different players could accept the same quest without either party hindering the other. [8]

Quest Generation [ ]

The Cardinal System in Sword Art Online and ALfheim Online comes with a feature called «Automatic Quest Generation Function». With this feature, the Cardinal System automatically collects folklore and legends of the world, adapts it for the game and continues to generate infinite amounts of quests using proper names and story patterns. These quests can also lead to an "end of the world" event or one that greatly changes the terrain of the world, as the Cardinal System was given authority to change the world of Aincrad to its discretion, seeing as the world was meant to be destroyed in the end anyway. This feature has usually been disabled in ALfheim, but if activated from the management side, the Cardinal System seems to retain the authority of changing the world to its discretion without even getting permission from the management team. Examples of such quests are « The Holy Sword of the Ice Palace » quest in ALO and the «Witch of the West and the Three Treasures» quest in SAO.

Due to this feature, just those known SAO quests in the quest database of the information shop exceed 10,000 by the time the 75 th Floor is reached. [1] [2]
